Resident Evil 3: Fun But Flawed
Resident Evil 3, so much to love with it's gorgeous visuals, slick updated combat mechanics, improved movement and crunchy-good secrets, is nevertheless held back by a shroud of mistakes made in the development process.
The game was rife with missteps from the Dev team. From its cut scene riddled opening chapter, to its suspension of disbelief breaking safe rooms, bland scare attempts (using cut scenes to introduce new monsters, instead of allowing you to discover them naturally as was done in Resident Evil 2), and of course, the theft of control and choice in the most crucial moments of the game.
All in all, the game was enjoyable, even if hampered by bad game design.
