Op Nieuwjaarsdag zet het Nederlands Blazers Ensemble het nieuwe jaar in bij het concertgebouw in Amsterdam (Nederland). Elk jaar is er een compositiewedstrijd voor jongeren. Ze moeten een nieuw stuk muziek componeren. Lucas Bakker (13) en zijn broer Kobe (11) wonnen de wedstrijd. Lucas speelt onze Aspirant II tenor.
