A demonstration at Fort Ticonderoga in Ticonderoga, NY of how a cannon in the Continental Army was proofed. Proofing was testing to see if the gun was fit for service. The barrel would be loaded with more powder or shot than what was normally used to see if the barrel could take the pressure, then the barrel was checked for imperfections or cracks. The gun being proofed is a 3 pound cannon.

This is a musket drill of the Continental Army that was performed recently at Fort Ticonderoga in Ticonderoga, NY that was made up of the 3rd NY (grey coat), 4th NY (brown coat) and Connecticut regiments (blue coat).

My son and I took out the cannon today to celebrate New Years. More fun that simply watching a ball drop.

I took this video at the Hanger at 743 in Latham, NY when during their Wheels & Wings show they fired up the FG-1D Corsair named Ruthless II (the Goodyear version of the Vought F4 Corsair). They started it, and then extended the wings. Turn up the speakers, because it's loud!
