I am pleased with Allah as my God, Islam as my religion, and Muhammad (saw) as my Prophet Subhan Allah.

In the last year and a half, I've seen so many American reverts to Islam describe their encounter with Islam as encountering a religion very close to their former faith in Christianity. I even heard one sister say that she told her mother that after two years in Islam, she was a better Catholic than when she was a Catholic! I disagree with respect. In matters of doctrine, Islam and Christianity are at odds. 1)Islam doesn't believe in the divinity of Issa. Christianity does. 2)Islam doesn't believe Issa died on the Cross as a sacrifice for human sin. Christianity does. 3)Islam doesn't believe in a fall of human nature into sin. Christianity does. Those are fundamental differences. For months, I struggled as I felt myself pulled toward Islam, yet how could I give up those fundamental beliefs? It was when I finally realized that the Holy Qur'an was a text that has been unchanged that I came to accept the basic doctrines of Islam. The truth was revealed to the Prophet Muhammed, peace be upon Him; we have it in the Holy Qur'an. If you're Christian and thinking about Islam, know that you're not changing a suit of clothes. You're not moving from one denomination to another. You are taking on pure monotheism, the monotheism of Islam. Islam is the true deen. Alhamdulillah Subhannillah Allah Akbar

One can change an intellectual outlook, but the heart might not come along. How did I know that my whole being had become Islamic? It happened after having declared shahada when I briefly exposed myself to my old religion. My new deen, the religion revealed to the Prophet Muhammed, peace be upon Him, provided a new framework for my life. I reacted against what I saw and heard in a Christian worship service. Then I knew I was a Muslim and no longer Christian. I am on the straight path, the true deen, of Islam. Allahu Akbar

Allah swt blessed me by taking me into Islam. He knew I believed in Christian evangelizing. May Allah be blessed, He took my burden for evangelism and turned me to dawa. May the world come to know the mercy and justice of Allah and turn to Islam.

Islam is where I stand in all things. Islam is my outlook on the world. Islam is my outlook on matters of conduct. Islam is my outlook on matters political. In all things, submit to Allah swt and the blessings of Islam.

I declared shahada on August 18 2021. Alhamdulillah Allah swt took me out of the dunya and led me onto the straight path. May I never roam from Islam. Insha'Allah
