Max Sosa Jr Self Deletes by Cop over Cheating Wife
Fresno Police released a critical incident video involving an officer shooting 33-year-old Max Sosa Jr., ending his life, in northwest Fresno on Nov. 4, 2023.
The video released began with the 911 call officers say was from Sosa’s estranged wife, whom authorities say the day of the shooting that he had been separated from.
It came just after 3 a.m. from the 5500 block of North Dante Avenue.
“Hi, I need you to please come to my apartment,” said Sosa’s wife. “My ex is… He’s threatening to kill himself.”
Roughly 15 minutes after they arrived, officers attempted to contact Sosa, who was seen in his white Tesla driving in the parking lot of the complex.
The video appears to show Sosa driving the car toward the officer, nearly hitting him, and afterward could be heard yelling, “You want to play a game?”
The officer, who appeared to have his gun in hand, then attempted to stop the man, as he drove off.
Later on in the video, after officers returned to the apartment where the call originated.
Police say the video demonstrates Sosa call and begin to argue with and threaten them, as he also threatens to take his own life.
After 4:30 a.m., Fresno Police say Sosa returned to the apartment with kitchen shears in hand.
They say the video illustrates Sosa challenging the officers, making threats to stab them, and saying he tried to force officers to shoot him.
“Have you shot anybody before?” Sosa can be heard saying.
“Max, don’t make me do this brother,” said an officer.
“Have you shot anybody before? Today’s going to be the day,” said Sosa.
The video then shows Sosa moving through the door with shears in hand, which is when officers attempted to tase him in close proximity.
The attempt proved unsuccessful, as the man remained mobile.
Police say the video then shows the man charging officers with shears in hand.
They say that forced officers to fire the shots that ended his life.
The man’s family, meanwhile, has filed a wrongful death lawsuit in federal court seeking damages.
Friday, they gathered to publicly say they want justice and that Max should have never been killed.
They say police only released minutes of what they say could be hours of video, that Sosa was in a mental health crisis which they believe was mishandled by officers who didn’t call in a specialized unit to deescalate the situation.
“A responsible, loving, hardworking man. His kids spent their first holidays without him and it’s going to stay that way forever,” said Selise Sosa, the man’s older sister. “We can’t bring him back. This situation definitely should have been handled differently,” she said.

Police Body Cam shows Fall River Police Arrest 7 Juveniles In McDonald’s Melee
Police have released body camera footage from officers who responded to a disturbance involving juveniles and resulted in eight arrests at a Fall River, Massachusetts, McDonald's earlier this week.
Fall River police said that at about 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, they received a call from CVS Pharmacy at 1620 President Avenue, which is off Route 6, reporting a large group of juveniles were causing a disturbance.
When police arrived at the CVS, the juveniles went into the nearby McDonald's at 1690 President Avenue.
McDonald's management told police that the juveniles could not stay inside because a fight had taken place before they entered the restaurant.
Police said when officers told the juveniles they had to leave, they became confrontational and refused to comply. When officers attempted to make an arrest for trespassing, police said the group interfered with the arrest by crowding the officers and attempting to inter-~t themselves.
Fall River police have not identified the seven people who were arrested.

LAPD Shoots Man After He Jumped Off Building to Escape
On September 15, 2023, at around 12:09 p.m., Newton Division uniformed officers responded to a radio call of a “Hot Prowl Burglary,” located at 1100 block of East 33rd Street. Shortly thereafter, details of the call were updated, indicating that four male suspects entered an apartment, bound and gagged the victim and stole the keys to his vehicle.
As responding officers arrived, two of the four suspects, later identified as Justice Lockhart and Aaron Felnoy were taken into custody without incident. The third suspect, later identified as Jeffrey Askew, was observed by the Air Unit, on the roof of the apartment building. Askew jumped off the building and landed on the roof of an adjacent single-story structure. Askew then fell from the roof of that structure and landed on a cement walkway between the two buildings. As officers approached Askew to take him into custody and render aid, he reached into his front waistband and removed what officers believed to be a firearm. Askew then appeared to point the object in the officers’ direction, resulting in an Officer-Involved Shooting (OIS) and simultaneous deployment of a 40mm Less-Lethal Launcher.
Askew was struck by gunfire and was taken into custody without further incident. Due to the unknown whereabouts of the fourth suspect later identified as Daiyann Henderson, officers carried Askew out of the immediate area, rendered medical aid, and ultimately brought him to Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics, who were staged nearby. Askew was then transported by rescue ambulance to Los Angeles General Medical Center, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
Several minutes later, Henderson attempted to escape the perimeter by changing clothes and exiting the front of the apartment complex. He was subsequently observed by officers and was taken into custody without incident.
The object that was observed in Askew’s hand at the time of the OIS, later determined to be a hammer with an overall length of 6 ½ inches, was recovered and booked as evidence.
No officers or other community members were injured during the incident.
Force Investigation Division (FID) and Robbery Homicide Division (RHD) detectives responded to the scene and are investigating this incident. The complete investigation will be reviewed by the Chief of Police, the Board of Police Commissioners, and the Office of the Inspector General to determine the thoroughness and accuracy of the investigation and whether the use of deadly force complied with LAPD’s policies and procedures.

On September 9, 2023, at around 1:45 a.m., Hollywood Division uniformed officers were flagged down by security guards in front of a nightclub located on the southwest corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Ivar Avenue. The security guards advised officers that a group of patrons were fighting and pointed out a male who appeared to be the cause of the altercation. The officers observed the suspect, a male, White, approximately 30 years old, enter the driver’s seat of a white Mercedes-Benz that was parked on Ivar Avenue south of Hollywood Boulevard. The suspect drove his vehicle in reverse, negotiated a turn and stopped in the middle of the street facing the west curb.
As the officers drove towards the suspect’s vehicle, the suspect while still seated, pointed a handgun outside of the driver’s side window and fired his gun towards people on the west sidewalk, which resulted in an OIS. The suspect immediately fled southbound in his vehicle towards Sunset Boulevard. Officers initiated a pursuit and after a short distance, lost sight of the suspect’s vehicle and terminated the pursuit.
At this time no officers or community members are known to be injured as a result of this incident. Force Investigation Division (FID) and Robbery Homicide Division (RHD) investigators responded to the scene and are investigating this incident.
The LAPD’s specialized Force Investigation Division responded to the scene, interviewed witnesses, and supervised the collection of evidence by the Forensic Science Division personnel. The complete investigation will be reviewed by the Chief of Police, the Board of Police Commissioners, and the Office of the Inspector General to determine the thoroughness and accuracy of the investigation and whether the use of deadly force complied with LAPD’s policies and procedures.

Police Body Cam shows Jacksonville Officers Shoot Vincent Paul Palmero After he Pointed A Weapon
A man was critically injured Wednesday night after he was shot by officers after he threatened officers and showed what appeared to be a handgun, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
JSO said it got a call around 6:30 p.m. for an armed suicide threat on Bartram Circle West which is not far from the Publix at the corner of Atlantic Boulevard and Bartram Road.
Officers said they found erratic videos from a man named, Vincent Paul Palmero. Some of the videos talked about suicide by cop.
JSO said officers tried to talk to him through a PA system and he exited the home with what looked like a handgun, JSO said, and officers then fired 15 times. JSO detectives later determined it to be an airsoft handgun.
The man, who was struck, went back inside where they continued to try and talk to him over the PA system.
Eventually, they got him out and they started rendering aid. He was brought to a local hospital and he’s listed in critical condition but he’s expected to survive, JSO said.
JSO said it was the 11th officer-involved shooting this year.

IMPD vs. “Vegeta”
Police said 40-year-old Kendall Gilbert was armed with a machete and suffered from a mental health crisis before being shot by police.
With neighbors recording on their cell phones, starting around 6:45 p.m. Sunday night, IMPD officers confronted a man who witnesses claim threatened police and his own family for hours.
“He kept inviting them to come to him,” said neighbor Rachelle Clark.
As the confrontation dragged on into the night, Clark said the suspect kept waving a machete and shouting insults at police. The suspect also allegedly had a second knife as well as a large staff-like weapon in his left hand.
“He kept saying to make war with me, ‘Come make war with me,’” said Clark.
Eventually, just after 9 p.m., police fired off a distraction device and multiple non-lethal rounds as the suspect sprinted into the street.
A few seconds later, the fatal shots can be heard off camera.
“He went ahead and ran across the street approaching the officers and that’s when they let him have it,” said neighbor Adrian Duncan.
Still, multiple neighbors believe there were enough officers on scene to prevent the incident from turning deadly.
“Somebody could have grabbed him and saved him. They could have stunned him or something. They didn’t have to kill that guy,” said Duncan.
“They had enough manpower to have done this without lethal force,” said Clark.
“You would think if you have a significant number of officers, they should be able to control one man,” said Rev. David Greene with the Concerned Clergy.
Greene also wishes more resources would be spent city wide to assist people have mental health issues.
“We have to find better methods of dealing with those with mental illness. We’ve got to do better as a city. We can do better and we must do better,” said Greene.
For their part, IMPD shared a picture of the machete the suspect dropped after being shot and insisted Gilbert did pose a threat to officers.
“This is not the outcome that anybody wanted. Nobody wins from this,” said IMPD Lt. Shane Foley. “This was a threat to the community. The individual was outside the home with a machete and also armed with another knife.”
Police said they had responded to the same home four times in three days for the same suspect having mental health issues.
On Friday, around 2:45 p.m., IMPD responded to check the welfare of the suspect who was said to be schizophrenic and sending out strange messages to family members.
No reports were made as there were no threats to the community or the family at the time.
On Saturday, Aug. 26 at 1:30 a.m., IMPD responded to the same home on Woodland Drive for reports of a man who was destroying property in his bedroom. The caller said the man refused to open the door for family. Officers believe the male was not a danger to others and no report was made at the time.
Later that day, around 8:30 p.m., IMPD came back to the same home on reports of a man experiencing mental episode and threatening to decapitate family members. The male was still barricaded in his room and officers assisted family members with providing information on mental health resources. Since the man was barricaded in the room and not a threat to others, IMPD left the scene without making a report.
On Sunday, Aug. 27, around 5:20 p.m., family members called IMPD saying the same man was hallucinating and stating he would burn the house down. Officers spoke with the family and indicated they left the residence and there was no ongoing threat to them.
Around 6:45 p.m. Sunday night, IMPD was called to check the welfare of a woman who had pushed the emergency button, who said the man was attempting to kill her. That call resulted in the police standoff.
The officer who shot Gilbert has been placed on routine leave. In addition to an internal and criminal investigation, the Civilian Use of Force board will also review the case.

OC Police Body Cam shows Shootout with Trabuco Canyon Mass Shooter, John Snowling
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department released deputy body camera and security footage Friday showing the chaos that unfolded in August when a gunman opened fire at Cook’s Corner, a beloved local bar in Trabuco Canyon, killing three and wounding six others.
John Snowling, a retired Ventura Police Department sergeant, walked into the bar around 7 p.m. on Aug. 23 during its weekly $8 spaghetti night — a family-friendly event — armed with two handguns. He immediately walked up to his estranged wife, Marie Snowling, and shot her, authorities said. She was wounded but survived.
But Tonya Clark, 49; John Leehey, 67; and Glen Sprowl Jr., 53, were killed.
John Snowling, 59, was killed in a shootout with responding deputies.
In security footage released by the Sheriff’s Department, bar patrons calmly mill around a parking lot filled with motorcycles. There is no sound in the footage. But, suddenly, people begin sprinting away from the bar. Some take cover behind motorcycles before fleeing. Snowling — wearing a baseball cap, jeans and a blue shirt — appears in the frame, clutching two pistols.
Snowling aims one of his guns at the fleeing patrons and seems to fire at least one shot before running out of the frame.
In 911 calls released Friday, panicked customers pleaded for deputies to hurry. In one call, the dispatcher asked for the gunman’s description.
“I can’t see, but he’s still shooting. He’s wearing a cap,” the man responded. The dispatcher asks about the color of the cap.
The Orange County Fire Authority had previously released audio from 911 calls about the shooting, some of which came from victims with gunshot wounds.
In body-worn camera footage, one deputy can be seen pulling up to the scene and talking to a witness.
“Where’s he at?” the deputy asks.
“It’s a male, blue shirt, shorts. He’s in that gray pickup with the door open,” the bystander says.
“Gray pickup with the door open,” the deputy repeats before speeding ahead.
The deputy stops and exits his vehicle near other deputies, pointing out the gray truck parked near the bar.
A gunshot rings out and the deputies take cover before returning fire.
A more than five-minute firefight ensues with deputies using long rifles and pistols. At some points during the fight deputies seemed to struggle to maintain a visual on Snowling, who took cover behind a large tree and cars in the parking lot while firing at authorities. A shotgun slug from Snowling’s weapon blew a large hole in the windshield of a patrol car, the video shows.
Seven deputies fired at least 75 shots during the exchange, Orange County Dist. Atty. Todd Spitzer said during a news conference after the shooting.
Eventually, the video shows deputies moving into the parking lot toward Snowling motionless behind a tree, its bark ripped away from gunshots.

Spokane Sheriff Beats Up A 62-Year-Old Man
Spokane County Sheriff John Nowles was told about an incident that occurred on Aug. 14. The Spokane County Prosecuting Office are following these allegations and made the Sheriff aware.
Sheriff Nowels stated, “Allegations of misconduct by law enforcement are very concerning to our community and myself. That is why I immediately asked the Spokane Police Department to investigate the actions of the Sergeant independently. I trust the Spokane Police Department to conduct a thorough, complete, and unbiased investigation into the Sergeant’s actions and this incident. All reports and body-worn camera video have been turned over, and we will continue to cooperate with investigators. An internal investigation will be conducted following the completion of the independent investigation, which is standard policy.”
On Sept. 29, the Sergeant was placed on administrative leave due to this pending investigation. The Spokane Police Department has been asked to conduct an independent investigation as well.
“I want to assure the public we serve that this investigation will be complete, and that the rights of all individuals involved will be protected.” Sheriff Nowels concluded.
The attorney representing the victims in this incident says it started when their client stopped to rest in Terrace View Park in Spokane Valley. A deputy approached the man, informing him that it was a crime to be in the park that late when access force was claimed to be used.
"He was tired. And just wanted to just rest a little bit before he continued home to Colfax," said Timothy Note and Josh Maurer, the attorneys representing the man in this incident.
The man refused to show police identification or tell his name, and that's when the deputy appeared to use access force.
The man was arrested for being in a park after hours and was charged with resisting and obstructing. Note and Maurer claim their client was taken to jail but not allowed in because the allegations against him didn't merit incarceration.
As a result of this incident, the man sustains extensive injuries, including eight broken ribs, a punctured lung and some lip disfiguration.
"That alone should have given someone some concern about his injuries. But nobody looked into this case, nobody launched an investigation. It wasn't until Tim brought it to the prosecutor's office that we were informed that anything has been done," the attorneys said.
This remains an active investigation and the Spokane County Sheriff's Office are not releasing the name of the deputy until a later time. Note and Maurer told NonStop Local the deputy was Deputy Clay Hilton.

Stealing From Walgreens Gone Wrong!!
A 29-year-old woman from Crest Hill was discovering hiding inside a bush on Joliet's west side, police said. Samantha Jo Bravato ran from the Walgreens store and bit one of the Joliet police officers who was trying to capture her, according to arrest reports.
Joliet police managed to capture Bravato, and she was driven to the Will County Jail and booked into custody on charges of aggravated battery to a peace officer, possession of a controlled substance, retail theft, obstructing a peace officer and having an outstanding Will County arrest warrant.
Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said the following events happened early Sunday morning surrounding the arrest of the Crest Hill woman:
At 4:40 a.m. a Joliet officer conducting a business check for Walgreens at 1801 Ingalls Avenue was notified by employees that Bravato was inside the store and concealing merchandise in her purse.
Bravato then ran out of the store without purchasing the merchandise, police said. One officer caught up to her near the north side of the parking lot and tried to place her into custody.
However, authorities said Bravato tried to pull away; she then bit the officer in the hand and continued to run off. Officers established a perimeter and Joliet police dog was called to the scene and eventually found Bravato in a nearby bush.
She was arrested without further incident.

What Happens When You Run at Cops With A Gun in Your Hand…
Reed Wischhusen, 32, was filmed on cops' body-worn cameras rushing down towards them at his home in Somerset with the weapon.
Wishchusen, who is on trial for weapons charges, told Bristol Crown Court that he was trying to end his life by provoking the armed officers into killing him when he ran at them with the pistol.
Officers had come to the house Wischhusen shared with his father, where they found several weapons, as well as body armour and a deactivated hand grenade.
In footage played to the jury, Wishchusen can be seen talking to officers. He then goes upstairs, and a shot can be heard while Wischhusen is in the bathroom. This was him shooting himself in a failed suicide attempt.
He then runs downstairs while pointing his gun at the officers, before they fired three shots at him. He survived, spending four months in hospital before his arrest.
In a prepared statement, Wischhusen said: "I make this statement knowing it may be given in evidence. This was a suicide attempt. I've always had suicidal thoughts
"When in the bathroom I shot myself in the head, trying to kill myself. I ran at the officers hoping they would kill me. I have nothing further to say."
In further interviews the defendant confirmed he had thought about shooting himself "since he was small".
Wischhusen told detectives he had a "passion for firearms and weapons" and was a member of a gun club and shot regularly.
The gun he used on the day of his arrest he had converted to fire live ammunition, which he had done to "get back" at the firearms licensing department that refused his shotgun application, he told police.
"He denied any intention to hurt anybody - police, members of the public and people from the past," Jonathan Rees KC, prosecuting, told the jury.
The jury has previously been told Wischhusen was fascinated with mass shootings and infamous killers such as Dunblane gunman Thomas Hamilton and Raoul Moat, who went on a rampage in the north-east of England.
Prosecutors claim Wischhusen had drawn up plans to carry out a "hitman-style attack" on his former school in a document he had called "Revenge".
Jurors heard phase one of Wischhusen's alleged revenge plan was to kill ten people using a converted pistol with a silencer while wearing disguised clothing and a wig.
Wischhusen told detectives: "With regard to the document in my computer called 'Revenge', it's a fantasy story.
"I accept it is not the most reasoned piece of thinking and includes me killing myself twice, but I have absolutely no intention of doing anything about it.
"I wrote it to amuse myself. I repeat I have never harmed anyone at any time in my life and have never wanted to harm anyone else."
Wischhusen, of Wick Road, Wick St Lawrence, denies charges of having an explosive substance with intent to endanger life, having an explosive substance, possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life, possessing ammunition with intent to endanger life and possessing a prohibited firearm without a certificate.
The trial continues.

Pretending To Be A Cop In Front of Real Cops…
After posing as a law enforcement officer and handcuffing a drunk man at a strip club, an Atlanta man found himself arrested instead, according to the Atlanta Police Department (APD).
Terrence Jacks, 49, faces a charge of impersonating a public officer or employee, police said. He was taken to Fulton County Jail.
“The Atlanta Police Department would like to remind all citizens that police impersonators jeopardize the legitimacy of the law enforcement profession and that this arrest is significant in maintaining the community’s trust in our department,” the police department said in a statement.
On Sept. 1 after 3 a.m., APD officers responded to Fair Drive SW and Metropolitan Parkway SW after a reported car accident. One of the vehicles’ passengers, 47-year-old Samuel Smith, was in handcuffs. His wife, 42-year-old Patricia Smith, said the two were at a strip club called Peaches of Atlanta when an officer cuffed her husband, bodycam footage shows.
Sensing something was wrong, the officers went to the strip club, police said. That’s where they met Jacks, who was wearing a police patch and homeland security special agent badge. He also had a radio, a handgun and a car sporting blue lights and police decals, according to APD.
Bodycam footage shows Jacks telling officers he was with the Department of Homeland Security. He said he was working as a club security guard and handcuffed a man who ran away in an SUV.
Jacks showed officers what he said were homeland security credentials, but police detained him for questioning. The license plate on his car was from a public school bus, police said. Officers later confirmed Jacks was not a homeland security special agent.
Patricia Smith was charged with DUI, reckless driving and driving on a suspended license, police said. Meanwhile, Samuel Smith was arrested for an active warrant out of Fulton County, according to APD. He was also taken to the hospital for treatment.

How NYPD “De-Escalates” A Situation…
A New York City police officer who responded to a call reporting a distraught teenager repeatedly punched the boyfriend of the boy’s mother, a prosecutor from the Manhattan district attorney’s office said at the officer’s arraignment on Wednesday.
The officer, Christian Zapata, 36, pleaded not guilty to assault in the third degree after he was indicted on the misdemeanor charge by a grand jury in the Dec. 7 encounter. He was released on his own recognizance. His lawyer, Andrew Quinn, declined to comment after the arraignment.
Officer Zapata had recently been promoted to sergeant when he and other officers were called to a Harlem apartment, where Leah Turner, the mother of a 15-year-old with autism, called 911 because she was having trouble calming her son.
When they came inside, Ms. Turner’s boyfriend, Jerome Collins, asked the officers to put on masks, according to court documents and video footage captured by the officers’ body worn cameras.

THIS is How You Ruin Multiple Lives…
The woman who died last August in a motor vehicle collision with a city police vehicle was identified Tuesday as Tracee Blount, 38, a local resident, according to the state Attorney General’s Office.
Blount was a passenger in a car that was wanted in connection to an armed burglary at a home in Long Branch in the early morning hours of Aug. 14, according to a statement from the office.
The Attorney General’s Office also released audio recordings of 911 calls and police radio communications, as well as dashboard and body-worn camera footage from the events surrounding the crash at 4:01 a.m. on that Monday morning. However, the material is redacted and there is no indication as to how the collision occurred.
The driver of the vehicle, Altonia Williams, 45, of Long Branch, survived the crash at MacArthur and Elmwood avenues. Williams escaped the wreck with injuries and was apprehended by police at the scene. He was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Blount, who was pulled free from the car by a police officer, died a few hours later at the regional trauma center.
Long Branch Patrolman Lucas Brito, whose police vehicle was in the collision with the suspect’s vehicle, was also taken to Jersey Shore for his injuries in the crash, all according to the statement.
The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office has since charged Williams with second-degree armed burglary, second-degree eluding, second-degree unlawful possession of a handgun, second-degree possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, second-degree being a certain person not to possess a firearm, third-degree hindering apprehension or an investigation, fourth-degree possession of a large capacity ammunition magazine and fourth-degree unlawful pointing of a firearm. If convicted on all counts, Williams could spend the rest of his life in state prison. On Tuesday night, he was listed as an inmate in the Monmouth County Jail in Freehold Township, where he’s been detained since Aug. 18.
The crash remains under investigation by the Attorney General’s Office of Public Integrity and Accountability, and the Prosecutor’s Office. State investigators met with representatives of Blount’s family to review the recordings before they were made public on Tuesday.
Video released of the impact itself is from Brito’s body camera (dash camera footage cuts out before the crash). The body camera footage is of the steering wheel from a position below the windshield. A couple seconds before the crash, Brito shouts an expletive before yelling, “he’s…” followed by something said that is unintelligible from the recording.

How To Die Over A Girl That Doesn’t Want You
A suspect is dead after an officer-involved shooting late Sunday night, August 6.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department says deputies responded to the 4100 block of North Reno Avenue, which is near Flowing Wells and Roger, for a report of a burglary in progress about 11:15 p.m.
PCSD says initial information indicated the victim’s ex-boyfriend forced his way into the residence and was still inside.
The caller evacuated the residence safely but told PCSD another family member was still inside.
Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Reinaldo Carballo-Morales.
Deputies say Carballo-Morales was armed with a knife.
PCSD says Carballo-Morales was given multiple commands to drop the knife and Delmar Castillo, a 2-year veteran of PCSD, fired his department approved handgun after the man “advanced on deputies.”
Carballo-Morales died at the scene.
No one else was hurt.

LVMPD Gives Details on the Arrest of “Keefe D” in Connection with the Murder of Tupac Shakur
A man who prosecutors say ordered the 1996 killing of rapper Tupac Shakur was arrested and charged with murder Friday in a long-awaited breakthrough in one of hip-hop’s most enduring mysteries.
Duane “Keffe D” Davis has long been known to investigators as one of four suspects identified early in the investigation. He isn’t the accused gunman but was described as the group’s ringleader by authorities Friday at a news conference and in court. In Nevada you can be charged with a crime, including murder, if you help someone commit the crime.
“Duane Davis was the shot caller for this group of individuals that committed this crime,” said Las Vegas police homicide Lt. Jason Johansson, “and he orchestrated the plan that was carried out.”
Davis himself has admitted in interviews and in his 2019 tell-all memoir, “Compton Street Legend,” that he provided the gun used in the drive-by shooting.
Authorities said Friday that Davis’ own public comments revived the investigation.
Davis, now 60, was arrested early Friday while on a walk near his home on the outskirts of Las Vegas, hours before prosecutors announced in court that a Nevada grand jury had indicted the self-described “gangster” on one count of murder with a deadly weapon. He is due in court next week.
The grand jury also voted to add a sentencing enhancement to the murder charge for gang activity that could add up to 20 additional years if he’s convicted.

Sometimes…You Gotta Die About It
On September 25, 2023 at approximately 1700 hrs, Miguel Angel Montalvo was sentenced by Franklin County Superior Court to 596 months in prison (49.5 years. Montalvo is a repeat felony offender and is a Gang member of the Mexican Pride Surenos (MPS). This sentence was based off a plea deal orchestrated by the Franklin County Prosecutors Office. This plea deal came from a list of charges that are far too numerous to mention, but include: Attempted Murder, Assault 1st, and Assault 2nd. These charges were compounded by firearm enhancements and involved multiple victims.
Montalvo was most notably involved in the incident that occurred on May 17, 2020, involving the attempted murder of two Pasco Police Officers. While exiting the rear of a victim's residence, Miguel Montalvo along with Juan Montalvo opened fire on Pasco Police Officers that had formed a perimeter in the alley behind the residence.
The officers on scene had Probable Cause for both suspects for Kidnapping and Attempted murder.
Officer Joshua Glass and Officer Eric Fox carried out their duties that fateful day, bravely returning fire under a hail of bullets from both suspects, ultimately stopping the threat to themselves and the community. Both suspects were struck by the officers' return fire, injuring Miguel Montalvo and tragically resulting in the death of Juan Montalvo.
For any police officer, this day ranks among the most harrowing experiences in their career. Yesterday's sentencing provided a semblance of closure to this traumatic incident.

When The Taser Doesn’t Work…
Four officers responded to separate locations in response to a call about a disorderly person at Underwood Park on 10th Avenue South, according to police.
Theodore Williams, 28, was spotted as police were talking to a witness, and when officers tried to approach him he ran, Officer Truman Fitzgerald said in a Facebook video.
The officers followed in their vehicle and when an officer approached him, Williams said he was going to assault the officer and then punched him before a chase began, according to police. An officer deployed their stun gun, but it was unsuccessful.
Williams stopped in the road and was told to put his hands behind his back, but refused and spit, Fitzgerald said. The officer took Williams to the ground and punched him several times.
Police said the Birmingham Fire and Rescue responded to Magnolia Avenue and treated Williams and he was taken to a local hospital to be checked out per protocol. None of the officers or Williams were seriously injured.
A magistrate issued arrest warrants for Williams. He is charged with assault with bodily fluids, physical harassment, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
ATKCAM asked the Birmingham Police Department why the body camera footage was released. The department stated it will release body camera video on a "case by case basis." The department "wanted to provide full context" regarding a video that was shared on social media of one of the officers punching Williams.

“I’m a Famous Musician” So The Law Doesn’t Apply
Country singer Zach Bryan is seen in new bodycam footage telling police officers that he's a 'famous musician' after he was detained in a traffic stop earlier this month.
Bryan, 27, had been pulled over for speeding in Verdigris, Oklahoma, on September 4, three days before his September 7 run-in with cops in Vinita, Oklahoma.
During the September 4 incident, Bryan was pulled over for going 68mph in a 50mph zone and handcuffed. Bodycam footage shows the officer asking Bryan where he currently lives and the singer responding that he 'doesn't really feel comfortable sharing his address.'
In the video, he reiterates that he 'doesn't feel comfortable' sharing where he lives. The officer urges him to provide the information he needs for the ticket, or informs the country star that he will go to jail. Then he asked again, 'are you going to give me the information I need?'
Bryan snapped, 'I don't know the address, sir,' before the officer responded, 'Why didn't you just say that, but the singer quipped, 'because I don't think it's any of your business where I live. I'm a famous musician, and I don't want people knowing where I live.'
The country crooner apologized to the officer and was let go with a warning.
The officer, who happened to attend on of Bryan's concerts days before the incident, asked Bryan if he supports law enforcement, and the musician responded, 'Of course I do.'
But added, 'I don't support this s**t though. This is crazy.'
The trooper hit back, 'Listen, just because you are a famous musician doesn’t mean you can deny information.'
He continued: 'Normally, people don't refuse their information. When they start refusing information, I don't recognize you from Adam. 'I'm out here on a dark roadway, okay?' according to footage shared by ATKCAM.
Bryan was let go and not charged in this incident.
