002. From Kabul to Pittsburgh - The Bobby Murda Story
Today we sit down with Amateur MMA Featherweight Champion Fredaws "Bobby Murda" Nayimi. Bobby amassed a 25-7 Kickboxing record where he won multiple titles including World Amateur Muay Thai Association of Canada Title at 140lbs, a second place finish at the World Kickboxing Association American Nationals and was a member of the Canadian Kickboxing team.
Bobby's come up could be a movie. Bobby illegally escaped from Afghanistan during the Taliban takeover in the 90's. From there he lived in a one bedroom house with 14 other people in Russia. After spending 10 years in Russia he emigrated to Canada. He made some good choices and some bad choices in Canada but ultimately decided to chase his dream to be a pro MMA fighter and moved to Western PA to work on his ground game.
There are some good nuggets that athletes, businesspeople, and overall grinders can take from this podcast. The biggest takeaway I got from this is that we have it GOOD in the states. We forget that sometimes. Even when things seem dark, we're still in the land of opportunity where dreams really do come true.

001. The Lost Millennial Male
There is a crisis in society surrounding male (and female) mental health. We believe this is because of a lack of meaning and purpose in life. In this episode, we will give you the steps necessary for building your purpose.
A short synopsis.
There are 3 preliminary steps necessary before pursuing your purpose.
1 - Get in shape - being physically fit will allow you to have energy and confidence necessary to carve your path in life.
2 - Get financially secure - don't be starving artist. At least have enough money to pay your bills.
3 - Find a community - You need people to bounce ideas off of, and you need to bring up your group average.
After you've completed these 3 steps, you're ready to build a purpose.
Your purpose should incorporate service and responsibility. After you take these two considerations, you need to find the intersection of what you like, what you're good at, and what delivers value. Your purpose will evolve and develop over time, and it should. Your life is a journey, turn it into a hero's journey.

This Morning Routine Made Me A Millionaire
The first thing I do in the morning is brew some coffee and listen to a podcast. While the coffee is brewing and the podcast is playing a make a balanced, consistent breakfast. I try to automate as much as I can in the morning to avoid "decision fatigue." Think of your decision making as drawing from your battery. The more decisions you make that don't drive the needle forward, the more you drain your battery for useless tasks instead of useful tasks.
Over breakfast I read and take notes. I read every single day without fail. This is instrumental in my aggregation of skills. I don't have much talent, I don't come from a family with money (single mom), so I have to acquire skills and use these skills immediately. I don't have much time and neither do you.
After it's all said and done I create what Andy Frisella calls a "power list." This is the most important part of my morning routine. I write down tasks that I must complete throughout the day to drive the needle forward on my life. I don't put "fluff" on my power list like brush my teeth or take out the trash. The only thing that goes on the power list are things that get me closer to my goals.
After I'm done with breakfast I spend the rest of the day executing on my power list. Unfortunately when you own a business fires come up that you need to put out, but it's important to handle those tasks and then go right back to executing on your power list. More on this in the book "The Effective Executive"
