Quotes about the different senses in Holy Scripture
CCC 115-118
115 According to an ancient tradition, one can distinguish between two senses of Scripture: the literal and the spiritual, the latter being subdivided into the allegorical, moral and anagogical senses. the profound concordance of the four senses guarantees all its richness to the living reading of Scripture in the Church.
116 The literal sense is the meaning conveyed by the words of Scripture and discovered by exegesis, following the rules of sound interpretation: "All other senses of Sacred Scripture are based on the literal.”
117 The spiritual sense. Thanks to the unity of God's plan, not only the text of Scripture but also the realities and events about which it speaks can be signs.
1. the allegorical sense. We can acquire a more profound understanding of events by recognizing their significance in Christ; thus the crossing of the Red Sea is a sign or type of Christ's victory and also of Christian Baptism.
2. the moral sense. the events reported in Scripture ought to lead us to act justly. As St. Paul says, they were written "for our instruction".
3. the anagogical sense (Greek: anagoge, "leading"). We can view realities and events in terms of their eternal significance, leading us toward our true homeland: thus the Church on earth is a sign of the heavenly Jerusalem.
118 A medieval couplet summarizes the significance of the four senses:
The Letter speaks of deeds; Allegory to faith;
The Moral how to act; Anagogy our destiny.
-When Roberto said that “at that time there was only the Roman Empire and Judea” . He meant to say that at that time, the beginning of the Church, the Christians were only present in Judea and the Roman Empire. He did not meant to say that those were the only kingdoms existing at the time, but the only place that the Christians were present at the time.

-Roberto said “The Jews that still alive” sounded as if the Jews that were living over 2000 years ago are still alive! He should have said that there are still Jews who do not accept Messiah, just like there were in the time of Our Lord.

-Psalm 16:10 “For You will not leave my soul in Sheol,
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.”
-S Mark 15: 29 -32 “And those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads and saying, “Aha! You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, save Yourself, and come down from the cross!”
Likewise the chief priests also, mocking among themselves with the scribes, said, “He saved others; Himself He cannot save. Let the Christ, the King of Israel, descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe.”
-S Mathew 16:18 “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”
-CCC #675 : Before Christ’s second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers (cf. Lk 18:8; Mt 24:12). The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth (cf. Lk 21:12; Jn 15: 19-20), will unveil the “mystery of iniquity” in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of His Messiah come in the flesh (cf. 2Thess 2: 4-12; 1Thess 5: 2-3; 2Jn 7:1; 1Jn 2:18, 22).
-CCC #677 : The Church will enter the glory of the kingdom only through this final Passover, when she will follow her Lord in His death and Resurrection (cf. Rev 19: 1-9). The kingdom will be fulfilled, then, not by a historic triumph of the Church through a progressive ascendancy, but only by God’s victory over the final unleashing of evil, which will cause His Bride to come down from heaven (cf. Rev 13:8; 20: 7-10; 21: 2-4). God’s triumph over the revolt of evil will take the form of the Last Judgment after the final cosmic upheaval of this passing world.

CCC #2818 In the Lord's Prayer, "thy kingdom come" refers primarily to the final coming of the reign of God through Christ's return. But, far from distracting the Church from her mission in this present world, this desire commits her to it all the more strongly.

-Quote from Pope Benedict XVI, when he was still just Cardinal Ratzinger, on the pockets of faithful Christians all over the world. (short video)

As for the similar treatment for Jews and Gentiles if either one is unfaithful to God here are two passages.
- ”For if God hath not spared the natural branches [Hebrews], fear lest perhaps he also spare not thee [Gentiles].” Romans 11:21
- ”See then the goodness and the severity of God: towards them indeed that are fallen [the Jews that did not accept Messiah], the severity; but towards thee [the gentiles], the goodness of God, if thou abide in goodness, otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.” Romans 11:22 (emphasis added)
(See also the whole Chapter 11 of Romans.)
-Words of Pope Benedict XVI’s on his resignation to be the bishop of Rome in Latin.
Here in Latin the difference between mununs and ministerium are clear as well as the specific thing that he renounced, namely “ministerio Episcopi Romae” (the ministry of the bishop of Rome) and NOT the office of the Vicar of Christ, which he has never renounced.
DECLARATIO
Fratres carissimi
BENEDICTUS PP. XVI
-Words of Pope Benedict XVI on his resignation to be the bishop of Rome in English.
Here in English the difference between office and its exercise (ministry) is clouded by translating both munus and ministerium as one word ministry.
DECLARATIO
Dear Brothers,
I have convoked you to this Consistory, not only for the three canonizations, but also to communicate to you a decision of great importance for the life of the Church. After having repeatedly examined my conscience before God, I have come to the certainty that my strengths, due to an advanced age, are no longer suited to an adequate exercise of the Petrine ministry.
I am well aware that this ministry, due to its essential spiritual nature, must be carried out not only with words and deeds, but no less with prayer and suffering. However, in today’s world, subject to so many rapid changes and shaken by questions of deep relevance for the life of faith, in order to govern the barque of Saint Peter and proclaim the Gospel, both strength of mind and body are necessary, strength which in the last few months, has deteriorated in me to the extent that I have had to recognize my incapacity to adequately fulfill the ministry entrusted to me. For this reason, and well aware of the seriousness of this act, with full freedom I declare that I renounce the ministry of Bishop of Rome, Successor of Saint Peter, entrusted to me by the Cardinals on 19 April 2005, in such a way, that as from 28 February 2013, at 20:00 hours, the See of Rome, the See of Saint eter, will be vacant and a Conclave to elect the new Supreme Pontiff will have to be convoked by those whose competence it is.
Dear Brothers, I thank you most sincerely for all the love and work with which you have supported me in my ministry and I ask pardon for all my defects. And now, let us entrust the Holy Church to the care of Our Supreme Pastor, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and implore his holy Mother Mary, so that she may assist the Cardinal Fathers with her maternal solicitude, in electing a new Supreme ontiff. With regard to myself, I wish to also devotedly serve the Holy Church of God in the future through a life dedicated to prayer.
From the Vatican, 10 February 2013
BENEDICTUS PP XVI

--“There is neither Jew nor Greek: there is neither bond nor free: there is neither male nor female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28
--The kingdom was started when Joshua Messiah came the first time:
CCC # 664 Being seated at the Father's right hand signifies the inauguration of the Messiah's kingdom, the fulfillment of the prophet Daniel's vision concerning the Son of man: "To him was given dominion and glory and kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed." (Daniel 7:14) After this event the apostles became witnesses of the "kingdom [that] will have no end”.
And It will be consummated when He returns. That is what we pray for when we pray the Our Father;
