Eclipse path view - Dallas, TX
Path of Total Eclipse, viewed in Dallas Fort Worth Texas.
April 7, 2024, I took a flight to Dallas Fort Worth to view the Total Eclipse atop the Grand Hyatt Hotel pool side. The eclipse was on April 8th at approximately 1:40 pm. The hotel limited the number of people that can be on the pool deck to 100, we were part of the lucky few.
The following are still shots that I took with my Canon EOS Rebel T3i Camera with Telephoto lens and optical filter. No editing or AI enhancements. And, video with my iPhone with Solar Snap App. The pictures were taken every few seconds as the eclipse started. I’m told the duration of totality was about four minutes long.
The crowd cheered as our surroundings went dark.
It was an amazing experience to observe the skies and the people on the deck.
Enjoy the photos and videos. Keep watching when the screen goes black. The camera captures audio while the filter blocked all light during point of totality.
Thank you for watching.
