Welcome to Ploughman's Backyard! Are you thinking of starting a Homestead? Want to learn the basics of Gardening? Canning? Raising Chickens? Then we've got your back! We live in Canada, on a small 1.8 acre homestead. We live in a zone 4 area and garden with short season varieties. We started our gardens from scratch in 2017 and have expanded yearly! We have been raising chickens since 2018 and have made our home a little taste of heaven. We find peace living the simple life and encourage you, to do so too. Let us help you by sharing what we have learned along the way, the not so fun experiences and our joys.
