We have a homestead and try to do things to become as self-sufficient as possible. Our homestead consists of gardening, foraging, cows, chickens, dogs, canning, building, sawmill, fruit trees, and berries. I do sewing and crafts when I have time. We are a husband and wife with a 5 year old. He keeps us on our toes. We have a total of 9 children and 16 grandchildren currently with 1 more on the way. We live in a rural community with all neighbors half a mile away. So the peace and quiet is really nice. We are a military family and have pride for what our country once was. I was in the National Guard, my daughter is a Marine and my son is a Marine and his wife was in the Army. We believe in God and say our prayers. We aren't perfect and know that we sin daily.
