We are dedicated to doing our part in preparing the Body of Messiah to become the type of people Yahweh would want to live with forever. Born and raised in New York City of the tribe of Levi, Rabbi Berkson is well grounded in Torah and brings a Hebraic understanding to his teachings. He went to Hebrew school as a child and was Bar Mitzvah at age 13. In 1986 Rabbi Berkson came to know Messiah Yeshua through the Worldwide Church of God where he continued to study and eventually ended up in the United Church of God (a splinter from the fragmented WCG) in Tampa, Florida, where he met and married his beautiful bride Juliana in 1998. After moving to Knoxville in 1999, Rabbi Berkson was ordained and planted his first congregation. By 2001 he was serving congregations in Knoxville, Nashville, and Chattanooga, Tennessee. In January 2010 Rabbi Berkson planted Beth Shalom Messianic Congregation in January 2012 where he and his family serve the needs of the Messianic Torah Observant community in the greater Chattanooga area.

I was born and raised in Florida (USA) and my parents are from Puerto Rico. When I was 14 years old, I had an encounter with Christ and the seed for the desire to share my faith with others was also planted. Subsequently, I got involved in my high school youth group. For college, I attended Florida State University and was active in the Catholic Student Union. Following college, I worked as a: Youth Minister, FOCUS Missionary, After School Worker/Director, Lay Pastoral Assistant, Youth Director & Bulletin Editor and Assistant to the President of a St. Vincent de Paul Society Conference. I have also traveled/done mission work in 13 countries. I have spent most of my life, since my encounter with Christ, sharing my faith with others. I have both an international & missionary heart. Rides, trails and other adventures will be shared, products and tips will be discussed, all from the perspective of guys OUR age...Who deal with guy stuff that's hard to talk about, or share. Even more importantly... We'll have dogs too. Out on the trail, we're not going to dwell on our shortcomings.
