Lugh è un progetto di Musica Celtica che porta avanti una miscela originale e vibrante di musica delle tradizioni di Irlanda, Scozia, Galles, Bretagna. Il repertorio è costituito principalmente da composizioni tradizionali e riarrangiamenti di brani tradizionali ma anche di composizioni originali. Lugh, nasce dal chitarrista compositore e cantante italiano naturalizzato britannico, Luigi ‘Iggy’ Pignatiello (De Gregori, Battiato, Nannini, McCarthy, Greenoch, Zitello, etc.), offre uno spettacolo che rappresenta un viaggio contemporaneo tra forme musicali antichissime. Grazie ai diversi stili e attraverso il rispetto per la tradizione, emergono le qualità dei musicisti che fondono in maniera sapiente la loro pluriennale esperienza nell’ambito della musica tradizionale con il personale eclettismo, un luminoso anello di congiunzione tra tradizione e improvvisazione che si arricchisce di variazioni e soluzioni originali.
