Hike Camp Climb is a byproduct of my journey to find physical and mental healing after a hard-won battle with substance abuse. I turned to mountain climbing as a way of challenging myself and getting healthy again. As I started collecting gear for my first climb, I decided it would be smart to test it on flat ground first. So, I headed to the forest for my first solo winter camping trip and decided to record it while I was there. That video launched Hike Camp Climb and started me on the biggest adventure of my life! The mountains give me peace and a way to focus my energy into something positive. The goal of Hike Camp Climb is to share that peace and inspire others to get outdoors and start an adventure of their own!

I live in New Hampshire, and record videos regularly of my flights all over New England. I'm Mark Donovan and I am a Commercial Pilot, Certified Flight Instructor (CFI/CFII), and a Part 107 commercial drone pilot. I'm also a NH Wing Civil Air Patrol SAR/DR Mission Pilot & Instructor/Checkpilot, and a UNH adjunct instructor where I teach a FAA Part 107 workshop. My company, Falcon Imagery, provides professional drone and manned aircraft aerial video and photography services. I also provide flight instruction for both manned aircraft pilots and remote drone pilots. Welcome to my Rumble! I am the one who everyone calls Nutty Hiker. I am a pro photographer, journalist, writer, & face behind the blog Nutty Hiker Adventures, where I talk about everything from hiking to exploring the great outdoors via our RV and road trips. I have been a military wife (husband now retired) for 20 years. I am also a Mom of 4 adult children. My youngest has autism and is also my hiking/backpacking buddy. He is always ready for any adventure I throw at him. I have been hiking for over 20 years. In Feb 2020 I attempted a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail, but the world had other plans and I had to return home. My thru-hike of the AT has been postponed to 2025 when my husband and I will do it together.
