I grew up and learned to play drums in the early 1980's, and am still a fan of 80's culture and music styles. Drums are loud. This simple fact has cost me 2 drum sets I couldn't keep playing, and electronic drums just didn't impress me in the 1980's or 90's. However things have improved in recent years, and after a few years of research I started building upon and modding a custom set of electronic drums to my liking in 2020 -- all with the goal of having a top quality drum kit that 1) has unlimited expansion capabilities; 2) is QUIET enough the neighbors will NEVER hear them to complain; 3) feels, plays, and looks like REAL acoustic drums. Today I enjoy a completely custom drum set that doesn't upset the neighbors. Here on this channel, I revisit some of the Christian music I've enjoyed from decades past and enjoy today with my drums, just for fun. I'll mainly be posting drum cover videos, but may also post other drums, electronic drums, and music-related content. Drum'n on and on and on . . .
Video Channel of Justin Kelly. Justin started drumming in the Spring of 2022. He has 3 official drum lessons. After those lessons he was self taught. As he attempts to mirror the skills of Neil Peart (The Proffesor), he appears to be succeeding at a serious clip.
I enjoy improvising on the drums over music I like, and recording myself and sharing it publicly is a good way to gain self-confidence, see my mistakes and improve over time. Also, friends seem to like watching me play. I hope you enjoy my playing too.
