Dishes such as dal curry (lentil curry), pol sambol (coconut relish), and mallung (herb and vegetable mix) add unique textures and flavors. Street food is also a highlight, with items like kottu roti (stir-fried flatbread mixed with vegetables and meat) and hoppers (a bowl-shaped pancake made from fermented rice flour) being popular choices. Sri Lankan string hoppers (steamed rice noodles) paired with curry is another favorite.
