Front Row Rugby

On Front Row Rugby, former Springbok heroes discuss their careers with Peter Stemmet. He is an award-winning sports journalist. Your favourite Boks from the old days will talk about their careers, the highlights, the downtimes and the funny moments from their time wearing the famous green and gold jersey. Enjoy and up the Bokke! I love the Springboks and rugby is one of my favourite sports. Although as a sports journalist I am supposed to remain neutral, I always like to point out that before I became a professional, I was just a big fan! I hold a Masters Degree in International Journalism so at least you know I should be able to ask a good question or two! My dream is to do this YouTube Channel permanently. Rugby Ascendant

Rugby is the ultimate sport, a game for anyone and everyone. Those who do not know the game assume it is a rough sport and dangerous. While it is a physical game, it is a lot of fun. Rugby is a sport that brings people together. Rugby Ascendant is a segment of the Chris Wyatt Africa channel on odysee. In our rugby segment we focus on promoting the game of rugby at all levels, seek to boost participation in the sport, broaden awareness and interest in rugby around the globe, but especially in the USA and offer entertaining and informative viewing. Lagging 22 years behind the traditional Tier I rugby nations when it comes to professional rugby, America, while on the upswing, still needs broader awareness of the game. At Chris Wyatt Africa we interview players, coaches, officials, owners, pretty much any interesting person affiliated with rugby to help boost the game to greater heights. While promoting the game is a focus, Chris Wyatt Africa has thousands of subscribers and members from southern Africa where rugby remains massively popular. Most of our subscribers around the globe are interested in rugby. This is part of the reason for the Rugby Ascendant segment on Chris Wyatt Africa. Interviews with ruggers makes for interesting viewing for all subscribers. Those interviews with ruggers from the USA, make the rest of the world familiar with the game in the USA, which despite men and women’s success in rugby union in both Sevens and 15’s remains largely off the world’s radar screens.
