My name is Katrina, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and raised in the Midwest. I am currently considering returning to school to pursue a degree in psychology. Newbie Farmers Create Sustainability for their Family Verified

In November of 2019, we leased a house sitting on 5 acres. By December we had our first batch of chickens. Since then we have added more chickens, geese, pigs, and multiple gardens. In just over a year, we have obtained a level of sustainability that offers our family a sense of security that is not dependent on the rest of society.... We also never ran out of toilet paper 🙂. We raise our animals on pasture, where they are able to forage, play, and rest in the grass and sun. Our goal is the healthiest meat we can raise in the most ethical manner possible.
