Here\\\'s Koopur\\\'s shortened story...When he was less than a week old, he fell out of a tree in our backyard (his raccoon mom was killed on the road). We\\\'d heard him the night before finding him, but thought his cries were a squirrel. The next afternoon, we found him on the ground-faintly crying just loud enough for us to hear him. He was very cold, and flies were starting to cover his body. It took hours for us to warm him up. With always wanting a raccoon (we realize that\\\'s a strange thing to say), we looked at this like a gift. What we were to do with the gift was the question. With some fast online research about the reality of actually raising a raccoon, and family discussion about the real responsibility this would be, we decided to raise him as \\\'our own\\\'! Life is busy with 7 animals and 2 kids. We do our best to get lots of pictures and videos of Koopur, and this channel is to share what we do get!
