In 2005 after recovering from bankruptcy in which I lost my 25 acre farm with national forest on two sides, horse, tractor, and everything else I had worked hard for, due the last economic disaster under George Bush Sr I I started a new job, moved to a new part of the state, saved and was able to buy a new home for my family. It wasn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t much an old home built in 1930\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s needed a lot of TLC , built pretty much in the side of a bank, but I saw a vision of what it could be and the next 2 years with help of friends and family it started to shape up. This was only the beginning....

DBH was started because of my love for cattle. We chose the BH breed because of the color combination and their docile demeanor. STARTED IN 2014: I had commercial cows previously but was getting tired of never getting the right color combination that I loved. Black and White just SELLS!! So I researched various breeds and fell in LOVE with the BLACK HEREFORDS. This is truly the Breed of the FUTURE. BLACK HEREFORDS: This Breed is without a doubt the BEST of both worlds. Angus and Herefords crossbreeding gives you a great herd to build on. The right color combination and just plain good cattle. FOR SMALL RANCHERS: Our purpose is to supply GREAT cattle to the Smaller Ranchers. Those who don't want to hear the BIG BREEDER BS!! We just love this breed and love raising them. We don''t make our living off these cattle we just make new friends through our cattle. Once you see these guys in person you will fall in LOVE with the BLACK HEREFORDS just like we did.
