The Tarantula Collective is a channel for anyone interested in Tarantulas, Spiders, Scorpions, Isopods, Vinegaroons, Mantis, Centipedes, Millipedes, and all other forms of invertebrates. I make videos about arachnids including Nature Documentaries, Species Specific Care, Unboxing & Rehousing, Top 10 Lists, How To, & Feeding. Join me EVERY Tuesday & Friday for a new video that further explores the world of invertebrates. Whether YOU keep tarantulas & other inverts, are considering getting one as a pet, or are a complete arachnophobe...there is something here for YOU. I overcame my arachnophobia through exposure therapy, so watching these videos may help YOU over come yours too! Follow my journey as a tarantula keeper & learn from my mistakes & experience so YOU can be a better care taker of your pets. Learn more about these creepy, crawly creatures through my new documentary series where I dive deep into one species of invertebrate so we can better understand these amazing animals!
A companion channel for my Tom's Big Spiders blog, this channel is devoted to arachnoculture and the husbandry of tarantulas. (https://tomsbigspiders.wordpress.com/) After keeping a G. porteri for over 16 years, I decided that I wanted to add another T to my collections. Little did I know that this would begin a new obsession. With over 250 specimens and 100+ species, I'm now hopelessly addicted to the hobby. I'm NOT an expert, and I'm currently still learning about keeping these fascinating creatures. In fact, there are so many species, that I suspect I'll still be learning years from now. A teacher by trade, I enjoy passing along what I've learned and helping other in their successful pursuit of this hobby.
