Sunfellow On COVID-19Statement by District Attorney Sandra Doorley https://vimeo.com/940559301 ............... Sandra Doorley Releases Apology Video In Response To Viral Confrontation With Officer By Gary Craig Rochester Democrat and Chronicle April 29, 2024 https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/news/2024/04/29/sandra-doorley-releases-apology-video-after-confrontation-with-webster-officer-rochester-ny/73496476007/ Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley Monday released a video which she hopes will serve as an apologetic response to the internationally viral video of her refusing to immediately pull over for a speeding ticket and then chastening a young police officer. In the video, released around 6 a.m. Monday, Doorley apologizes to the officer and the community and says she will take steps of discipline against herself, including submitting an attorney grievance complaint for investigation. The video comes after a bevy of calls for her resignation and a request from New York Governor Kathy Hochul that Doorley's actions be investigated by a prosecutorial misconduct commission. Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley Monday released a video which she hopes will serve as an apologetic response to the internationally viral video of her refusing to immediately pull over for a speeding ticket and then chastening a young police officer. Meanwhile the officer's composure and professionalism stand in stark contrast to Doorley's reproachful attitude toward him, after she refused to pull over immediately while speeding and instead continued into the driveway of her Webster home. Doorley telephoned the Webster police chief during the interaction, called Crisafulli an "asshole," and flashed her district attorney badge. Meanwhile, she also said she'd handle the ticket herself, a statement laden with ethical issues because of questions of whether she intended to dispose of it. In her video, Doorley said that she'd had a particularly difficult day, after a weekend with three homicides, including the fatal shooting of a cab driver David Treese III after he picked up a fare. Her husband also received medical news of concern, she said. Still, Doorley said, all people have stresses and what precipitated the incident with the officer does not stand as an excuse. "I've been humbled by my own stupidity and I am fully to blame," she said. ............... NY District Attorney Runs From Police For Speeding, Expects Special Treatment Because She Is DA
Sunfellow On COVID-19On April 27, 2024, Collin Rugg @CollinRugg writes: NEW: New York District Attorney Sandra Doorley runs from the police after an officer tried pulling her over, says she should get special treatment because she is the DA. This is what you call a Corrupt Karen. Doorley said she "didn't feel like stopping" because she was "stressed" with murder cases. The Corrupt Karen was driving 55 mph in a 35 mph zone and didn't pull over when police tried stopping her. The DA went all the way to her home and called the police chief when the officer confronted her. She tried arguing that she shouldn't be pulled over because she was driving a "black SUV." The Monroe County DA later apologized for the incident but said she has "dedicated my entire 33-year career to the safety of this community." Someone who thinks like this should not hold this power.
