Who Killed Bobby Kennedy? Series Introduction
Lori Spencer(UPDATE: On January 23, 2025 President Donald #Trump ordered the federal government to release ALL documents related to the assassination of #JFK, #RFK, and #MLK. I'll have the details in this episode.) 56 years ago this month, jury selection began in the murder trial of Sirhan Sirhan for the murder of Senator Robert F. #Kennedy. The 24 year-old Palestinian immigrant allegedly shot RFK in a fury over the 1968 presidential candidate’s support for arming #Israel with 50 Phantom jets. It was the first act of Palestinian terrorism on American soil — sparking five and a half decades more of terrorism and war that continues today in the Middle East. I devoted much of 2024 to a re-examination of Sirhan’s case — reviewing original evidence and testimony presented by both the prosecution and the defense — in the production of this true crime podcast series, Who Killed Bobby Kennedy? Below is a guide to every episode. Of course, I highly recommend watching the entire series to fully absorb all of this information, but this guide might help you zero in on specific topics or guests of interest. WHO KILLED BOBBY KENNEDY? (TRUE CRIME PODCAST SERIES) EPISODE GUIDE Ep. 1 Sirhan Sirhan: Innocent or Guilty? — Introduction and case overview Ep. 2 Why RFK Killer Sirhan Is Still A Hero in Palestine — A discussion of Sirhan’s influence on the Palestinian Liberation Movement and his embrace of communism with communist historian and author/journalist Caleb Maupin. Ep. 3 Sirhan’s Defense: Lisa Pease Interview — Our full 2.5 hour interview with Lisa Pease, author of the book “A Lie To Big To Fail” and leader of the “Free Sirhan” movement. Ep. 4 RFK Murder Conspiracies Debunked — Maverick News journalist Rick Walker and I discuss, debate, and debunk some of the most widely-circulated RFK conspiracy theories. Ep. 5 Sirhan’s Trial: Jim DiEugenio Interview, Part 1 — We take a deep 3 hour dive into evidence presented by Sirhan’s defense team at trial with James DiEugenio, Kennedy assassination historian, author and journalist best known for his work with Oliver Stone on the 2021 documentary “JFK Revisited.” Ep. 6: A Second Gun? Jim DiEugenio Interview, Part 2 — Jim and I discuss possible other suspects, and the ballistics investigations which DiEugenio says is proof that Sirhan could not have killed Senator Kennedy. Ep. 7 An Open and Shut Case: Jim DiEugenio Interview Part 3 — We rip the Los Angeles police and D.A.’s bungling of the original investigation, and talk about later efforts made by RFK’s friend (and shooting victim) Paul Schrade, Allard Lowenstein, #RFKJr., and others over the past five decades to release secret files and re-open the case. Ep. 8 The Motive: Mel Ayton Interview — British historian Mel Ayton is the author of “Sirhan Sirhan: The Forgotten Terrorist,” and knows the mind of Sirhan better than most. What factors drove Sirhan to murder RFK? What political statement did Sirhan make by doing so? Mel lays out the case here. Ep. 9 Premeditated Murder: My guest is journalist Craig Colgan, who has written about the RFK assassination since 1998 and interviewed many of the principals involved. Once a believer that Sen. Kennedy’s murder was the result of a conspiracy, Craig later changed his mind and now argues that what Sirhan did was a clear case of premeditated murder. Ep. 10 An Innocent Man: Thane Eugene Cesar: In Part 2 of my interview with journalist Craig Colgan he deconstructs the fiction which conspiracists allege that a security guard named Thane Eugene Cesar fired the fatal bullets. Ep. 11 Who Is Sirhan Sirhan? British historian Mel Ayton returns for another in-depth 2-part interview. In this episode, Mel tells us Sirhan’s tragic life story; from his 1944 birth in Jerusalem to his childhood trauma of witnessing a bloody war in Palestine, to his family’s emigration to America, and the events that led to his political radicalization and the murder his mother Mary once called “a patriotic act.” Ep. 12 Free Sirhan? In the series conclusion, I give Sirhan’s biographer Mel Ayton the closing argument. Mel makes a convincing case that despite errors in the L.A. authorities mishandling of the RFK investigation and trial, Sirhan is right where he belongs: behind prison bars. But should he remain there for the rest of his life? At age 80, is Sirhan still a danger to society? We discuss efforts by RFK Jr. to obtain Sirhan’s parole and the growing “Free Sirhan” movement. Campuses In Crisis: Where Does RFK Stand? (Kennedy Americans, Ep. 30)
RFK Jr. News Channel24 Independent Presidential candidate Robert F. #Kennedy Jr. has been strangely silent the past few weeks about the #antisemitic, pro-#Hamas protests happening on college campuses. Although #RFKJr has been asked about it in recent interviews, and answers briefly in a lawyerly manner about the difference between demonstrations on public vs. private property, he has otherwise completely avoided talking about the issue. While every other candidate in the presidential race issued statements on this national crisis immediately, Kennedy waited nearly three weeks before speaking up. Kennedy finally posted a tweet about the campus unrest Saturday outlining what he would do as president to ensure fairness to all students on campus, but said nothing about what he would do to stop the lawlessness and violence we are witnessing on campuses across America. https://twitter.com/RobertKennedyJr/status/1786943517710786626 Kennedy has proclaimed himself to be strongly pro-Israel, and supports #Israel's war against Hamas. At the same time, he says he is "very pro-Palestinian," and supports the two-state solution that would establish #Palestine as an independent sovereign nation. Is Kennedy doing the same "both sides" dance as President #Biden, afraid of losing progressive Democrats and Gen Z voters? Are his campaign advisers telling Bobby to tone down his pro-Israel rhetoric in order to appease the woke mob? At a time when #antisemitism escalating to frightening levels, #Jews are being assaulted in the streets, and some protesters are issuing calls to "kill all the Zionists," it feels like open season on Jews. The exclusion of Jewish "#Zionists" from campuses, establishment of "Zionist-free zones," Jewish students not being allowed to attend class, acts of harassment, intimidation and violence, hate speech and symbols of Jew hatred on campus property are all flagrant violations of the 1964 Civil Rights Act -- which is not being enforced by campus administrators, state governments, or the federal government. On this edition of Maverick News we ask why President #Biden isn't doing what President John F. #Kennedy did: send in the National Guard to protect the rights of ALL students, stop the violence, enforce the law of the land, and restore order on campus. The Kennedy legacy is civil rights. It is time for #RFK to pick up the mantle of #JFK and his father, Attorney General Robert Kennedy, on this divisive issue that is tearing our nation apart, and undoing 60 years of racial progress started by his ancestors. His uncle Jack's campaign slogans during the 1960 were "a time for greatness," and "leadership for the 60s." Can his nephew meet that high standard now? Because this is a time for greatness, not timidity. We need moral clarity and leadership for the 20s, right now. Now is the time for Kennedy to shine; to lead; to do something bold. I'll tell you what that is tonight on Maverick News. Join us at 9 PM Eastern.855 views 5 comments -
How JFK Fixed The Economy
RFK Jr. News ChannelOn this date in 1961 the newly sworn-in John F. #Kennedy began his first day as president. As evidenced by the first Executive Order he signed that day, expanding food assistance to the poor (what is known today as food stamps, or SNAP benefits), relieving poverty was at the top of his agenda for the New Frontier. #JFK also inherited a troubled #economy. The country was in a #recession -- it's third in 10 years -- at the time Kennedy took the oath of office on January 20, 1961. On Episode 22 of the "Kennedy Americans" podcast we will take a look at President Kennedy's economic solutions that catapulted the United States into a period of unprecedented #prosperity -- while at the same time creating a more secure safety net for the disadvantaged, creating #Medicare and #Medicaid, issuing tax cuts, building infrastructure projects, and keeping #inflation down. We'll also explore how Kennedy brought big business to heel in his clash with the steel companies, a fierce battle the president waged to ensure that American corporate interests also served the public interest. Here's how JFK fixed our domestic economy without going to war overseas. Kennedy showed us it can be done. We hope his nephew, 2024 presidential candidate #RFKJr follows his uncle's lead and pursues similar economic policies starting on day one of the next Kennedy administration on January 21, 2025. Were LBJ and Nixon Involved in the JFK Conspiracy?
Lori SpencerIn this “Best of Strange Bedfellows” highlight from Episode 22 (original air date: Nov. 25, 2023) we talked to #JFK historian Jim DiEugenio on the 60th anniversary of the #JFKAssassination. James DiEugenio is the editor of KennedysAndKing.com, and the author of five books about the assassinations of the 1960s. He wrote the screenplay for Oliver Stone's "JFK Revisited" documentary series and is a co-author of the new book "Chokeholds: Proof There Was A Conspiracy in the JFK Assassination." We delve into the theory posited by former #Nixon and #Trump advisor Roger Stone alleging that #Kennedy's own vice president, #LBJ, was part of the #conspiracy to murder JFK. In his 2016 book "The Man Who Killed Kennedy," Stone makes his case against LBJ. Jim DiEugenio says Stone's book is ridden with factual errors and corrects them here. Is Roger Stone running a clever ruse to distract the public from the involvement of his former employer, President Richard Nixon? We'll look at the circumstantial evidence against both Lyndon Johnson and Nixon, and let you, the jury, decide if one or both men were guilty. Or perhaps you'll conclude that both former presidents have been falsely accused of involvement in the crime of the century. This was my favorite "Strange Bedfellows" episode of 2023, and a perfect finale' to the year. PROGRAMMING NOTE:We are taking the month of December off from “Strange Bedfellows” for some family time during the holidays. Why The Kennedys Remained Silent About the JFK/RFK Murders

He wrote the screenplay for Oliver Stone’s “JFK Revisited” documentary series and is a co-author of the new book “Chokeholds: Proof There Was A Conspiracy in the JFK Assassination.” A viewer from Ontario asked Jim, “why has the #Kennedy family remained silent all these years about any possibility of a #conspiracy in the murders of President John F. Kennedy and his brother Robert F. Kennedy?” We delve into that mystery, and talk about why 2024 presidential candidate #RFKJr reversed that trend when he became the first (and only) member of the #Kennedys to ask questions about what really happened to his father and his uncle. JFK: What The Doctors Saw (Film Review)
Lori SpencerIn this highlight from Episode 21 of "Strange Bedfellows" we review the outstanding new documentary film airing now on Paramount Plus, "#JFK: What The Doctors Saw." 60 years after the murder of President Kennedy, seven of the doctors who examined Kennedy's wounds at Parkland Hospital reunite to discuss a day they'll never forget. Our guest is Bruce de Torres, marketing director forTrineDay Publishing, host ofWORLDSTAGEon TNT Radio, and author ofGOD, SCHOOL, 9/11 AND JFK: The Lies That Are Killing Us and The Truth That Sets Us Free. David Denton, History Professor at Olney Central College and author ofEssays on the Assassination of President John F. Kennedysays of Bruce’s book: “In this excellent work, Bruce de Torres takes us through 200-plus years of American history, revealing the darker, hidden side of it – elites (in and out of our institutions) controlling us with lies and moving us toward #fascism. Incontrovertible facts point toward #conspiracy, especially in the assassinations of #JFK, #MLK, and #RFK, and in 9/11. Mr. de Torres correctly says we must be ‘near those entrusted with power,’ or else corruption and exploitation begin. I highly recommend this detailed, informative work that takes the reader right up through the events unfolding in today’s world!” You can buy Bruce’s book, “God, School, 9/11, and JFK” athttp://brucedetorres.com. Robert Groden's 50-Year Search for JFK Truth
Lori SpencerOn November 22, 1963, the day President John Fitzgerald Kennedy was shot inDealey Plaza, Robert Groden had just turned 18. That day was his birthday, and he was at home playing hooky from Forest Hills High School in Queens, New York. He sat glued to the television watching the grim saga unfold on television all weekend, like every American. Since that fateful birthday Groden has devoted his entire life to ferreting out the truth beneath the surface of the bizarre pictures that flashed across his TV screen a half century ago. In the 1970s, Groden showed the American people the infamous Zapruder film of the #JFKAssassination for the very first time on television. Later, he worked as a photographic expert on the House Select Committee on Assassinations investigation of Kennedy's murder, and consulted on Oliver Stone's blockbuster film, "#JFK." Groden (R) consulting with the HSCA, 1979. Author of seven books on the Kennedy assassination, including a New York Times best-seller, Groden now lives in Dallas, where he lectures and sells his books to tourists in Dealey Plaza. He has been ticketed more than 80 times by the city, arrested and jailed twice. All of these alleged infractions have been tossed out by city courts as violations by the city of Groden's First Amendment rights. His long legal battle with the City of Dallas and the 6th Floor Museum was so incredible it became the subject of the 2014 documentary film, "Plaza Man." As we marked the 60th anniversary of President Kennedy's murder last month, author Bruce de Torres and I paid tribute to Robert Groden on Episode 21 of "Strange Bedfellows." Groden is one of the last living legends of JFK Assassination research. We feel his tremendous contribution to our understanding of this unsolved mystery should be honored. JFK's Legacy of Peace
Lori SpencerWhilevisiting Arlington National Cemeteryon Veterans Day, just a few weeks before his death, #JFK stood on the grounds of the Arlington House high on a hill above the national cemetery. As he took in the sweeping views of the rolling green hills and fall foliage, his eyes continued across the Potomac River to the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument. He wistfully said that the views were so spectacularthat he “could stay here forever.” After his death on November 22, 1963, his widow Jackie selected a plot just below #Arlington House. This established the site of the #Kennedy family graves and offered her late husband the forever view he requested. The view from Kennedy's grave at Arlington National Cemetery. President Kennedy often told those close to him that he wanted the words "he kept the peace" inscribed on his tombstone. Although those words do not adorn his grave marker today, we agree with Kennedy's self-assessment of his own contribution to history. In this excerpt from Episode 21 of "Strange Bedfellows" I discuss Kennedy's Legacy of Peace with radio personality and author Bruce de Torres. After many important reflections upon President Kennedy's life and death on the 60th anniversary of Dallas, perhaps his commitment to #peace is, above all else, what JFK should be best remembered for. We will also talk about how JFK's nephew #RFKJr is running for president to continue his uncle's legacy of peace, as the world stands on the brink of #WWIII globally and civil war on the home front. Can Kennedy #HealTheDivide before it's too late? Catch the premiere tonight at 9 PM Eastern! * Disclosure: I am a volunteer on the #Kennedy24 campaign.
