Charles Eisenstein: Counter narratives and conspiracy theories
Now that the storm surrounding Covid-19 has begun to subside, is it possible that people will start to expand their sense-making around what has gone before us?
Our guest today is counterculture philosopher and writer, Charles Eisenstein, who has written extensively, long-form essays on the big picture issues that have emerged throughout the pandemic, going beyond a contrary view to exploring much of the nuance and complexity that was lacking in the mainstream media.
However, like other commentators who had the courage to take a contrary view, much of this work was drowned out by a storm of primal, social and psychological hysteria.
This illuminating 90-minute conversation breaks through the noise to draw upon various competing narratives and conspiracy theories to assemble a sane and coherent understanding of the Covid-19 story.

Mattias Desmet: Why were people so willing to sacrifice their freedoms?
How did Covid-19 capture the minds of the masses? What led people to willingly sacrifice their freedoms and way of life?
To answer these questions we have invited Professor Mattias Desmet back to the podcast to deconstruct the underlying factors that may have led to the irrational fear-based response to Covid-19.
Whilst our previous conversation with Mattias on the 'mass formation reached well over 1M+ people, this hotly anticipated interview takes a wider historical perspective to explore how this type of collective psychological response can lead to totalitarianism.
Mattias Desmet is a Professor of Clinical Psychology at Ghent University in Belgium and is regarded as one of the world's leading experts on the theory of mass formation. He has recently published a new book The Psychology of Totalitarianism which has been described as an 'indispensable guide to the times we live in'.
Tune in at 8.00pm when Mattias reveals how our current societal landscape could lead to the further erosion of Western values if we fail to take stock of the warning signs that Covid-19 has presented.

Steve Templeton: Fear of a Microbial Planet
We have witnessed tremendous politicisation of science and medicine in the past two years, throwing out some old paradigms and adopting new ones to drive certain narratives. It seems that we live in a 'culture of safetyism’ which encourages much of this behaviour.
In this episode, we are joined by Steve Templeton, Associate Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at Indiana University School of Medicine, to explore whether the emergent safety culture leaves us exposed to greater fragility?
Steve specialises in experimental models of immunology of infectious disease and is the author of his Fear of a Microbial Planet blog and a forthcoming book of the same title.

Rain Trozzi & Megha Verma @ the Better Way Conference
PLEASE NOTE: we apologise for the poor quality audio from this recording
Tune in to hear Dan speak with Rain Trozzi and Megha Verma, recorded at the Better Way conference in Bath 20-22nd May 2022.
In the second of this series, we ask why the youth have been so absent in the fight for liberty over the last two years.
Megha Verma is a Medical Science Adviser with the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) in Canada. She translates scientific concepts for litigation strategies to help defend the rights of doctors and scientists who were wronged by Canadian Medical Institutions. She is also an oil painter and loves to share her love of real art with the world. Megha has a Masters in Neuroscience from the University of Western Ontario.
Megha found she was alone and ostracised from her PhD programme when she sought to apply critical-thinking to her scientific research. Megha reached out on-line and quickly connected with a Canadian Lawyer, Michael Alexander who is part of the JCCF and was offered a position helping to defend Canadian Doctors and Scientists who have been rejected from their institutions for the 'crime of critical thinking'.
Rain works closely with his father, Mark Trozzi who sits on the committee for the World Council for Health. Artist, web designer, entrepreneur and human rights activist, Rain is the founder of Over to the Youth, a WCH partner organization of young people taking an active role in creating a better future.
In this conversation, we seek to understand the barriers that exist in reaching young people and how we can engage them more actively with critical-thinking. Rain and Megha offer some insightful ways that we can overcome these challenges as we look to build a movement that is inclusive of all demographics.

Dr Maria Hubmer-Mogg: A Better Way to Health
Please join me for this special 15 minute episode of the Elevate Podcast in collaboration with Oracle Films, recorded at the Better Way Conference! with Dr. Maria Hubmer-Mogg!
Dr Hubmer-Mogg is a General Practitioner, Resilience Coach, herbalist, activist and Member of the European Parliament.
Throughout the pandemic, she has been at the forefront of efforts to disseminate vital health information to doctors and patients in Austria and around the world.
Dr Hubmer-Mogg boldly shone a light on the use of ivermectin in the treatment of Covid-19 and on the dangers of vaccinating children and pregnant women against the virus.
Throughout the pandemic, she fearlessly spoke out about what she saw as a lack of 'good science'. When mandatory Covid19 vaccinations were announced in Austria, she took the brave decision to withdraw from the medical board altogether. In November, the country saw over 300K people descend on Vienna to protest the mandates, Dr. Hubmer-Mogg played an integral part in the peaceful demonstrations where she started the 'We Show Our Faces' campaign.
But the fight is far from over. With the threat of mandatory vaccinations still looming, I met with Dr. Hubmer-Mogg to ask what the future for healthcare looks like. We asked if the Covid crisis can be used as a catalyst for a health revolution and if so what would this look like?
