Apollo Views of the Moon
His film recreates some of the breathtaking images of the Moon that the Apollo 13 astronauts witnessed during their dangerous trip around the farside in 1970 using information obtained from the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter satellite. These 4K resolution visualizations show a variety of views of the lunar surface, starting with earthrise and setting and ending when Apollo 13 made radio contact with Mission Control once more. The free return course around the Moon is also shown, with a constant view of the Moon along the way. For timing reasons, all views have been sped up; they are not displayed in "real-time."
