This teaching shows the difference between the priesthood of Aaron and the priesthood of Christ.

Paul writes in Hebrews that there is a “rest” for the people of God. How do you get that “Rest?”

The Bible says you are called, you are the elect. How does that happen? Do you have a choice? Is it permanent? Did I really want to become a Christian, a preacher, a new creation? Listen!

Paul stresses that Jesus finished it all. Nothing else is necessary other than belief for salvation.

Hebrews 4:Jews and Gentiles No difference

Paul recalls the promises God made to Moses and the Jews who has escaped captivity in Egypt and how they rejected those promises. This will not be their only rejection. They will eventually reject their promised Messiah

Here in Hebrews, Paul is explaining to Jews how they as well as Gentiles can now be partakers of these heavenly promises.

Paul reminds the Hebrews that God penalized the Jews back in Exodus for their unbelief. He reminds them that because of unbelief a trip from Sanai to Kadesh-Barnea, an eleven-day sojourn, to 40 years due to unbelief.

Now there is no separation of Jew from gentile. We are all one through the reconciliation brought about by His death, burial and resurrection from the dead.

Requests have come in to list the mysteries so I have. Study these! They have been given to the Body of Christ for you to understand your position in His Body after the Resurrection from the cross. None of these can be found in the Old Testament or the four Kingdom Gospels.

Paul explains to the Jews in his letter to them that through the Covenant of Abraham they were supposed to be a light unto the entire world through a redeemer, Jesus Christ, from the line of David.

Paul is striving to let his countrymen know that Jesus and his sacrifice were so much better than what they had before.

Back in the 1970’s “The Band” wrote a song entitled “Lord, you don’t know the shape I’m in”. One of the lines of the songs asks a very pertinent question, “How in the world do we get to heaven?” Here is how.

Because the Jews rejected their Messiah, God gave a new apostle 7 Mysteries that had never been heard of before. Here is the first, the mystery of His will.

We are blessed to be believers. We were given this gift of salvation and we are supposed to teach others about the free gift. We must spread Paul’s Gospel of Grace plus nothing!

Although no one makes claim to its authorship, it only makes sense that Paul, who loved his brethren, would plead with them to understand this “much better” way to salvation.

This teaching emphasizes the fact that Jesus taught Jews only about the coming Kingdom. It was not open to Gentiles which is why Paul is so dramatic in Hebrews 2:3 when he asks his Jewish friends, “ How can you ignore the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.”

How can man neglect such a great salvation? Hebrews 2:3

Think about who is doing the writing, think to whom, why, when, in what circumstance, with what words, with what intent, stop, think, don’t simply read.” Think, think, think!! Paul says “STUDY” to show yourself approved!!

Any diligent study of the scriptures could lead to no other conclusion than Paul being the author of Hebrews. Here are a few of those reasons.

God the Father bestows upon his Son the name above every name. God the Father exalts Him above all the angels. God the Father has all the angels worship him!
