Out-of-Body Experiences in ANCIENT TIMES | HIDDEN ACCOUNTS of Astral Projection Lucid Dreaming OBEs
Take a brief guided tour through ancient accounts of out-of-body experiences (OBEs) found in spiritual texts, legends and folklore from cultures around the world, to discover how widespread their practice once was, but also how hidden. These accounts include experiences of astral projection, astral travel, and lucid dreaming.
My husband Mark and I have pieced together these accounts from over two years of extensive research. This video is just a small summary of what we have discovered, which we present in our book The Spiritual Out-of-Body Experience. The understanding of how important OBEs were in ancient religion has been lost. For example, we have recovered some of these accounts from obscure or hardly read texts.
You might be surprised to learn that some of the greatest spiritual figures from history are recorded as having out-of-body experiences. Accounts of OBEs are found in some of the world’s oldest and most important religious texts. Some of the most enigmatic ancient sites in the world were also used for having OBEs. And journeys to the "otherworld" during OBEs have become deeply woven into folklore.
This video is the first in a series I’ll be making about out-of-body experiences, as we bring this forgotten chapter of history to light, explaining how OBEs are a natural part of human existence that are as relevant today as they have been for ancient peoples throughout time.
These ideas and the practice of astral projection are explained in much more detail in our newly released book The Spiritual Out-of-Body Experience which I co-authored with my husband Mark: https://sakrosawel.com/the-spiritual-out-of-body-experience/

SUMMER SOLSTICE | MIDSUMMER | Ancient Spiritual Meaning | Sites, Celebrations | Stonehenge
Take a visually stunning, guided journey through the ancient sites, traditions, and myths of the summer solstice and midsummer to understand their deeper spiritual meaning and relevance today - with a section dedicated to Stonehenge, which is the most famous ancient site aligned to summer solstice.
In this video, I delve into the celebration of the summer solstice throughout history. I give many examples of ancient sites aligned to it, exploring the symbolism contained in some of the most amazing examples, including Stonehenge in Britain, the Sphinx and Great Pyramids in Egypt, Ales Stenar and similar sun ships in Northern Europe. I talk about how its celebration was an important part of an ancient religion of the sun that spread to different parts of the world in prehistory, exploring its symbolic relationship to an epic spiritual journey that begins in darkness before returning to the light.
The summer solstice, the time of most light in the year, was one of the largest religious occasions in pre-Christian times. Ancient cultures across most of the world venerated the sun at the summer solstice and aligned some of their greatest sites to it. Many thousands still honor it according to their ancient traditions, especially in Europe where it is known as midsummer. Why is the summer solstice such an important event and what is its spiritual meaning?
As part of this video, I discuss some original theories put forward by myself and my husband Mark including:
The symbolic meaning of Stonehenge's design and its purpose as an Ancient Portal Site, as part of our Ancient Europe OBE Theory.
The symbolic meaning of the summer solstice alignment at the Great Pyramids and Sphinx.
The symbolic meaning of Ales Stenar and other ancient stone ship settings, and their possible ritual purpose.
The symbolic meaning of the maypole and its relationship to the design of ancient sites.
The deeper meaning of the halo and flower wreath.
How the annual journey of the sun was used in ancient religions to symbolize the path to enlightenment (our Sacred Sun Path Theory).
That these ancient sites and traditions were connected as part of a now lost religion we call the Religion of the Sun.

Ancient Spiritual Meaning of the Spring Equinox | Sites, Traditions, Celebrations
We show for the first time how ancient sites across the world, that were aligned to the spring equinox, encode the same spiritual meaning connected to the theme of spiritual resurrection. We first published these ideas in 2011 and they can be found in more detail in our book Ancient Solstice.
In this video I talk about the ancient sites, traditions, and myths of the spring equinox to uncover their deeper spiritual meaning and relevance today.
The spring equinox was one of the largest religious occasions in ancient times and still is. Many ancient cultures throughout the world venerated the sun at the spring equinox. Millions still honor it according to their ancient traditions, and billions celebrate Easter around the time of the spring equinox, although its deeper significance has largely been lost. What is the spiritual meaning of the spring equinox, and why was it so important to ancient people?
In this video, I delve into these questions. I discuss many examples of ancient sites aligned to the equinox, exploring the symbolism contained in some of history’s most enigmatic examples, including Angkor Wat in Cambodia, the Sphinx and Giza Plateau in Egypt, Knowth in Ireland, Monk’s Mound in Ohio, Tikal in Guatemala and Nebelivka Temple in the Ukraine. I talk about how its celebration was an important part of an ancient religion of the sun that spread to different parts of the world in prehistory. I also look at the deeper spiritual meaning of Easter, the world’s biggest celebration held around the spring equinox.

ORIGINS OF ANCIENT RELIGION — The Religion of the Sun
Why do so many ancient religions share similarities and why did they all venerate the sun? In this video, I give an overview of how a lost global ancient civilization of pyramid and megalith builders practiced a religion of the sun, which became the basis of many of today's religions.
Vast numbers of megalithic sites across the ancient world align to the sun at the solstices and equinoxes, including Stonehenge, the Great Sphinx of Egypt, the statues of Easter Island, the temple at Angkor Wat, and Machu Picchu in Peru. And so many chief ancient deities were symbolized by the sun and revered as sun gods, including Viracocha and Osiris. Even today billions of people still celebrate the solstice.
Thank you to my husband Mark, whose spiritual knowledge made this video possible.
