He has over 20 years of political, advocacy, election and legislative experience and was the founding Executive Director of CAIR-Houston, the first Executive Director of the Islamic Society of Greater Houston (ISGH), and has worked for and with many leading non-profits, public figures, local and state governments and has advised multiple law enforcement agencies on civil rights and community relations best practices. Esa is a native Texan on sabbatical and is the product of an 'Army Brat' upbringing living in Germany during his middle and high school years, seeing the fall of communism firsthand. Esa is a patriot who wants to use his unique background to bring people from across political and faith divides together to restore American civil liberties, wage peace, and empower working people.
