Fishing the Miramichi for Striped Bass with Todd
It is always such a pleasure to go to the Miramichi and fish this world class river. I mean that, many people come from all over the world to fish the Atlantic salmon that call the Miramichi river home. It is our back yard. If you get a chance to travel up near this river, the Striped Bass is the fun and exciting species to target. Here is a bit of the trip that I was more than happy to accompany Todd on!
Hope you enjoy the underwater footage and the eagle!

What do I need to go trout fishing? Cool double hook rig with DEMO
This is an excerpt from the full trout episode. In each full episode I aim to teach about the topic, give some local connection, explain how you can do the activity, and also share some footage of our adventures related to the activity. In this excerpt you will learn the set up needed to trout fish. A similar segment can be found in the full episode on sturgeon fishing as well.
Hope you like it!

Feed your family with three striped bass and have fun doing it!
I don't keep a lot of fish, only the striped bass. They are a wonderful white meat with very little "fishy" taste. Not like a trout or even salmon. These three fish fed my family of 6 and my neighbour!
It's more than just the sport of catching fish, its conservation, understanding, and teaching how to better steward the wonderful natural resources we have in our back yard. Get out there and enjoy responsibly!

The only three knots you really need to know
No fluff in this one, if you wanna know how to tie one of these knots, here ya go. I know there are thousands of variations and probably someone out there has proven one knot is better than another, but these knots are really the only knots I tie and I have never lost a fish due to a knot failure. I have lost many fish due to a Russell failure, but that is another video.

What is Exploring East all about?
Hey Friends!
This channel is a place I can document and share our outdoor adventures here in the beatuful east coast of Canada. There is so much to explore, I look forward to producing a series of videos that will serve both as information to help others know how they can experience and explore our wonderful land and also as family video photobook. I have so many pictures and videos of our friends and family doing all kinds of things. Its time to use these!
I hope you will like what you see.
