Bolens H14 Snow Fighting Setup 2022
A look at my H14 rigged for snow blowing.
Bolens tube frame tractor attachments are powered from the mid mount PTO, snow blower, mower deck, rear tiller.
The snow blower is easy on. Two connecting pins, PTO shaft, lift arm and snow chute control.
The chains will go on when it snows. No fluid in the rear tires. The chains with the wheel weights works well for me.
The flex extension has held up so far. This will be year three. Never liked the fix shaft hitting the hood cover. The chute control rod can slide. Allowing the handle stay in a fix location.
Extended the snow blower sliders. The stock ones stop before the scrapper bar. The extend sliders will carry the scrapper blade over places where a slap has lifted.
The Briggs IC16 has the split coil. One low amp DC charging coil and one AC coil for the lights. The charging coil can keep up with the LED marker lights. Not so much with the head lights. For the night work this tractor does. The marker light are enough. Upping the DC charging capacity is on the to-do list.
Hope you enjoyed. Thanks for watching.

Briggs and Stratton Starter Driver Gear Fix
Check out my other videos.. https://rumble.com/search/video?q=pb1500
Simple project. A wrench to disconnect the starer wire. A socket to remove the starter. A hammer and punch to remove the shaft pin. And a file if you want to dress up the tip of the shaft.
This is a used engine. I have used for a used for few years. Mostly snow blowing on a Bolens H14 tractor.
Putting on the snow blower last week. The starter would spin but not turn the engine. I'm happy when things fail on a nice day in the garage. Not during a below zero snow storm.
I took it apart, cleaned it up and got it to work. Amazing, you don't really need all those extra parts :) No way to know when the missing parts disappeared or how long it was like this.
I ordered a new kit from O'Reilly Auto Parts. O'Reilly part number 7-03421. No extra charge for next day in store pick up.
It was working when I started, even better, it's working after I finished!
Thanks for watching.
Yes, that's a 16HP Briggs IC engine in a Bolens H14 tube frame. Very nice snow fighting machine.
