Q: Hi Leeland, I'm just wondering if Jeremiah 50:6-7 and Ezekiel 34:8 pair up with the "smiting" of the watchmen (shepherds) in Song of Solomon 5:7 after the rapture has taken place. I have been uncertain as to what the smiting of the shepherds actually is - but I think it's when they shirk any responsibility say to Ephraim "We offend not because they (you who trusted to us) have sinned against the LORD, the habitation of justice, even the LORD the hope of their fathers. Jer 50:7. So the "smiting" is the shepherds putting the blame back on the heads of those people who blindly followed them. Please correct me if I'm wrong - May God Bless You. A: Wow, yes, great observation. I can see the smiting sheep in SS 5 like you said. What's interesting about Ezk 34 is the word in Hebrew translated "cattle" is actually lamb for Passover. Strong's h7716. שֶׂה śeh; Ezk 34:17 Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats. v20 sounds like the cattle of Pharaoh's dream, cattle of 7 good years and that of 7 lean. Usually my dreams don't add up to much some of them I can hardly remember. But on this particular night, this dream was very clear. The dream is, I was standing looking up at the constellation in the sky. The sky was very very dark. I saw the moon but she was not giving her light. The moon was black, very black on one side with a faint line down the middle and the other side was a very very dark grey. But I could still see that the moon was blacked out with a dark ring round it, and beside the moon was lots of smaller stars around it. They too were black and not giving their light. I'll definitely be sharing once i know. Leeland Jones I know that Gabriel interprets the dream to Daniel on the Ram and the he Goat, but says it is a vision refers to the time of the end. Gabriel says that the Ram is Medo-Persia, and the he Goat Greece. But, most scholars believe that Alexander the Great's 4 generals are the 4 divided kingdoms. I think that it is a foreshadowing of that, but will actually occur during the time of the end (NOW!). Along with the little horn being Antiochus Epiphanes IV. But Gabriel is referring to the end time, and horn in the last days, will bring about the tribulation such as the world has never seen, and will never see again.
