Sravan Krishna GCISD School Board Meeting - October 24, 2022
Sravan Krishna makes a fool out of himself at a Grapevine Colleyville School Board meeting in 2022. He is not a patriot, nor downtrodden voice for the dispossessed. He is happy spewing hateful pejoratives at those he disagrees with and is now leaving Southlake, Texas because nemesis always rewards hubris. And now his is "A victim." Zero self awareness, zero responsibility. And if anyone wants to really see more of Sravan's antics, review his twitter feed sravan_kri (if he hasn't deleted it) and jasckassery at Southlake School Board public comments. He was a regular fixture from 2019 to early 2022. SEE: https://www.southlakecarroll.edu/district-information/board-of-trustees/board-meeting-videos

“Conservative Backlash Pushes Texas Social Studies Curriculum Review to 2025”
By Brian Lopez
https://www.texastribune.org/2022/09/02/texas-state-board-social-studies-review/
Excerpts from this article:
The State Board of Education narrowly voted Friday [8 to 7) to delay updating the state’s social studies curriculum until 2025 after facing pressure from conservatives over proposed changes.
**[SIDEBAR: Matt Robinson (R – SBOE Dist. 7), who is going off the SBOE and who has never been a strong conservative influence on the Board, was the only Republican to vote with the Dems to rush through the Work Groups’ “woke” TEKS Social Studies recommendations. “Shame on Repub. Matt Robinson for leaving the Board on a sour note.”]
Earlier this week, board members said they would push back the social studies review after hours of public comment. The board voted 8-7 Friday to delay the social studies overhaul.
“We have time now to hear different ideas,” said board member Will Hickman, who voted in favor of the delay.
…While it put off adjusting the state’s social studies curriculum — like adding courses that focus on Asian American and Native American studies and learning about the gay pride movement — the board did take steps to change the years Texans students will learn about the state’s history.
Currently, Texas students learn about the state’s history in fourth and seventh grades. Board members were considering eliminating that timetable to have students in grades six through eight learn both U.S. and Texas history.
Instead, the board voted 10-4 in favor of using Hickman’s proposed order of teaching Texas history to fifth and eighth graders.
“I heard from a number of public teachers, educators, parents that they want two dedicated years of Texas,” Hickman said. “And their concern is, if we put Texas together with U.S., Texas gets watered down or ignored.”
Texas Education Agency officials said that the original proposal would have expanded the reach of Texas history, making it a requirement in more grade levels. But more conservative members of the public argued that the lack of dedicated years devoted solely to Texas history would dilute the instruction.
State Rep. Steve Toth, R-The Woodlands, said Texas and U.S history need to have dedicated school years as they are the most important history students will learn.
…Work groups, made up of educators, parents and industry experts selected by the state board and the TEA, spent the last year crafting these new proposals. The next step would’ve been for the state board to amend the recommendations and adopt them by the end of the year.
…Other proposed updates included teaching second graders about Juneteenth — a commemoration of June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Galveston received the news they were free — with a book that describes George Floyd’s murder by a Minneapolis police officer as “brutal” and “race-driven” and how the incident spurred national attention to the holiday.
The LGBTQ pride movement would have been taught in eighth grade in addition to the civil rights and women’s liberation movements.
…State lawmakers and parents who opposed the changes argued that they are an attempt to bring in critical race theory —…into secondary education…
Delaying the process could allow more conservative candidates who are against so-called critical race theory to be elected to the State Board of Education before the standards are revisited. Several Texas Republicans against critical race theory won primaries this spring and will be on the ballot for the State Board of Education general election in November.
The State Board of Education’s 15-member board reviews the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for social studies about every decade [every 7 years]. The curriculum sets the standards for how the state’s 5.5 million public school students of all grades learn the subject.
The debate over this year’s proposed changes has grown heated, especially regarding how America’s history of racism should be taught and what books kids should be able access on campuses. Last year, state lawmakers passed a law to limit how America’s history of slavery and racism is taught in schools.
Senate Bill 3 bars teachers from claiming that the advent of slavery in America represents the true founding of the United States. Instead, teachers must inform students that slavery was a “deviation” from American principles.
Students cannot be required to learn about The New York Times’ Pulitzer Prize-winning “1619 Project,” which the Times describes as putting “the consequences of slavery and the contributions of black Americans at the very center of our national narrative.”
=====================================
***[SIDEBAR: When new Health Education instructional materials (IM’s – textbooks, workbooks, digitized materials, etc.) were up for adoption in Texas in the fall of 2021, the SBOE voted to adopt Goodheart Willcox IM’s for Grades 6 – 12.
The series did have some questionable portions, but Dr. Audrey Young (SBOE member) took the time to go through the new GW books to review them. She presented 32 pages of corrections/additions/edits to GW; and at this Thursday’s SBOE meeting, it was announced that GW has implemented all of Dr. Young’s changes into their series.
“Kudos to Dr. Audrey Young for helping to make the GW series even better and healthier for our Texas Grades 6 – 12 students.”]

Texas School Board Of Education could vote as early as August 29th on new curriculum
Texas School Board Of Education could vote as early as August 29th on new curriculum removing A.D. and B.C. as time references. Removing “In God We Trust”, removing Moses as a historical figure, and removing Texas history as a course. This radical curriculum adds LGBTQ advocacy, learning about the Pride movement as well as discussing sexual orientation, abortion, as well as teaching religion in 2nd grade they say, before their religious beliefs are solidified. The new proposed curriculum has kids learning about organizations like the NAACP, ACLU, GLAAD elements of critical race theory (CRT). The changes rewrite American history paining the Founding Fathers in a negative light. Aicha Davis(Texas board of education member) claims the Black Panthers were good and not Marxist. WGT EP 81 [TRAILER] "Not All Books Are Created Equal"
WGT EP 81 "Not All Books Are Equal." [3 Minute TRAILER]
We have created two, 52 minute versions. One will be UNCENSORED and found exclusively on our Wise Guy Talks, free speech, Rumble channel at [https://rumble.com/vzp69f-uncensored-wgt-ep-81-not-all...]
The other version, which we have been forced to edit because of Facebook's self-serving "community" standards policy, will be posted [HERE] once uploaded.
WGT takes gross exception with Facebook's posting policy as the content we reference is freely available to our children throughout Texas and US public schools, but is deemed too graphic to be viewed on Facebook. The irony is delicious.
Parents, "exercising your rights" as an American means you have to use them. WE THE PEOPLE can no longer sit on our collective hands and continue to be a bystander to this societal decline. If we want this rot removed from our schools, we must make our voices and our votes known. The time to stop this was yesterday.

Stephanie Williams’ campaign manager confronts parent.
From the person being recorded:
“Stephanie Williams campaign manager followed me out of the board meeting to confront me about how terrible I was for speaking at the Board meeting. Here is my entire speech, and I challenge Stephanie Williams to actually counter my comments:
Today is likely to turn into a campaign for school board, so let’s get some truth on the far left wing candidates.
One candidate claims to be an “educator”, yet last election lied about being a teacher when she was not qualified. In fact, she sent an email to the school trying to bypass the substitute teacher requirements just for her. And this whole “Love and Logic” thing, does not make one an educator. I am a Love and Logic facilitator. And if you laugh at that then I have proved my point. You only need a credit card and be breathing to be a facilitator.
She claims to care for children, yet she was hard core for masking kids this year. In fact, while she has whined about falsely reported issues with CISD (that happened under the old left wing run school board), she presents no solutions other than she unbelievably wanted to segregate children 1950s style to get around mask choice.
She claims to be for teachers, yet both left wingers support firing teachers that don’t use randomly picked pronouns. Do you folks know that we actually have children in school dressed and identifying as cats and dogs??? Did you know both left candidates believe that mayonnaise is a gender? Seriously.
They do.
She and her far left wing group DATS, which is a failed PAC that refiled as a 501c4 so they could hide contributions, are so pissed that hundreds of families bonded together to defeat the CCAP through the Southlake Families PAC that they will say or do anything to discredit that the CCAP was a disaster.
She posted a maskless picture of herself at Alcatraz (which by the way requires masks) and supposedly quoted a famous line by a prisoner, when in fact it was the warden from the movie Escape from Alcatraz proving again that she has no original thought.
Look, This election is easy. If you want children masked during cold season, the destruction of girls sports, no SROs, 1st graders exposed to pornography, and teachers fired for not using today’s pronouns, then vote for the far left wing candidates. If you want safety in our schools, mask choice, a focus on math, science, and history, and the preservation of girls sports, then you need to re-elect Andrew Yeager and vote for Alexander Sexton.”

LGBTQ Child Indoctrination at Disney Secret Video Karey Burke
Another video released by Christopher Rufo featured Disney corporate president Karey Burke speaking as “a mother of two queer children – one transgender child and one pansexual child.” Burke discussed the company’s desire to include more “queer leads” in its creative content.
SCOOP: Disney corporate president Karey Burke says, "as the mother [of] one transgender child and one pansexual child," she supports having "many, many, many LGBTQIA characters in our stories" and wants a minimum of 50 percent of characters to be LGBTQIA and racial minorities.
LGBTQ representation in children’s shows has been on the uptick this past decade, beginning in 2014 on the Disney show Good Luck Charlie, which featured a lesbian mom couple. That was later followed by the Disney show Andi Mack featuring the first teenage gay couple on the network. Disney later broke new ground with the release of Onward – the studio’s first animated movie to feature an openly LGBTQ character.
As Breitbart New has reported, the “agenda” Raveneau spoke of is alive and well at Disney:
Disney+ is recognizing Pride Month by spotlighting LGBTQ-themed programming. The streaming service recently debuted the short film The Little Prince(ss) about a gender non-conforming kid. As Breitbart News reported, the new comedy series Big Shots, starring John Stamos, featured a lesbian kiss between to high school characters.
Disney+ will host a LGBTQ Pride concert aimed at kids and starring drag queen Nina West, with performances of popular Disney songs that will reportedly be re-imagined with LGBTQ themes.
Nina West attends the world premiere of Disney and Pixar’s ONWARD at the El Capitan Theatre on February 18, 2020 in Hollywood, California. (Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images for Disney)
Going into its much-anticipated “Phase IV,” the Disney-owned Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) increased LGBTQ representation in big ways with the first openly gay superhero Phastos in The Eternals, who shared in the MCU’s first openly-gay onscreen kiss between two men.

Southlake Families PAC v DATS. Why you should care.
Not all PACS are created equal. Southlake Families PAC is compared to Dignity for All Texas Students (DATS). SFAC is comprised mostly (96%) is Southlake residents and their contribution amounts are known. The same cannot be said about DATS where most contributors don’t live in Southlake and many don’t even live in Texas.

Timothy George Simpkins, 18, Timberview High School, Arlington, Before shooting
The student, who was charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, was seen in videos shared in social media enjoying a celebratory family gathering in his kitchen.
Meanwhile, 15-year-old student Zacchaeus Selby, who was struck four times during the gunfire, remained hospitalized in an induced coma, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram
ARLINGTON, Texas — The teenager accused in the shooting at Timberview High School in Arlington has been indicted on seven total charges, according to a press release from the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office.
A Tarrant County Grand Jury Friday returned indictments Friday in the October 2021 shooting at Timberview High School that left four people injured. The shooting happened after a fight in one of the schools' classrooms.
Later in the day when the shooting happened in October, Simpkins' family said bullying played a part in his turning to violence.
Later that month, however, Arlington Police Chief Al Jones said investigators had found no evidence the suspect was bullied, and instead found that Simpkins was involved in some high-risk activity.
“We can’t and we won’t say that there was any evidence of bullying that day or any other day,” Chief Jones said during a town hall meeting in October. “I also want to say with certainty that Mr. Simpkins is involved in high-risk activity, and that high-risk activity led to the disagreement within the community.”
