My short bio is below. -------------------------------------------------------------- My name is Brent Calhoun. I had 2 strokes, 2 days apart. Since June of 2021, I've dedicated myself to helping stroke thrivers who are stroke survivors who want to thrive. I help them have less pain and be more successful! I give them skills, tips, & methods to take along on their journey. That is my true passion and my mission. My life is simple. I am married & have two young adult sons. I was a part-owner & the Hospital Administrator of a large, multisite specialty & emergency veterinary practice. I live in the suburban Detroit area of Michigan in the United States. It is in the Eastern Time Zone. I am a retired veterinarian, but I know that life has much more for me! My passions include reading, walking my dog, being outside in nature, keeping healthy, and excelling in whatever I decide to be a focus.

About Scott White I had just turned 50 the day before my stroke. Until the stroke I worked as a corporate accountant for the prior 25 years And I was an avid motorcycle rider and trail hiker in Georgia. Where I still live. Due to impairments from the stroke I no longer ride or drive but I know I will again one day it’s Been 4 years now since the stroke things I’ve lost most of the use of my left arm. I can move it during no fine motor control and a lost of my reading ability I get lost on the page to easily.

My Aunt Julie was a foundational support during my stroke. Her support made it possible to become the stroke survivor I am today. I'm deeply thankful for my Aunt Julie! About my Aunt Julie I am Julie Avila Hanson and I was born in Santa Rosa, CA over 73 years ago. I have an adult daughter and son. My husband was a self employed plumber and I did the office duties for 20 years. Then I worked for State Farm Insurance before retiring in 2009. My husband Ron passed 13 years ago from cancer. I have a small doggie and do well living alone, passing time playing cards with friends and family. My brother Verne & Nonie were parents to Andrea & Aaron Avila. My favorite name is: Aunt Julie
