From well known Banker, to a street scavenging Cynic roaming around ancient Athens, Greece. Diogenes was not your typical philosopher of old. There is very little literature written about him, yet we are left with several stories from other well known philosophers of his time, some had some good things to say, and others.... were not exactly sure what to make of him. Our country is more divided than ever before. America is in shambles, our own leaders are purposely damaging our own country. If we had a good intentioned, respectable leader, what would change? Marcus Aurelius, the great Roman leader, philosopher, and author of "meditations" would have been the man we needed for the job. Still to this day, his ancient writings share with us his personal wisdom, full of veneration and respect for every individual man. How big is an infinite universe? Does it have walls? Does it loop? Are there others? And can an infinite world be fully colonized by us finite beings? The wisdom of Lao Tzu(Laozi) is beyond all time and space. This man (if man he indeed was) has an amazing capacity of wisdom and personal knowledge to share with us. The Tao Te Ching is his master work, and within it we find writings dedicated to mankind, in our journey to learn more about ourselves, inside and out.
