Continuing Capra’s Wonderful Life cuts, When Democrats Rule
I love history and greatly enjoy historical drama. But I’m very disappointed with modern historical drama, drama which is allegedly researched, but which disappointingly does not reflect the virtues of diligent research. A great writer, and father of such drama was Robert Graves whose fictional diary of Claudius provided great insight into events surrounding the time of Emperor Claudius of Rome. By way of contrast, White Queen series, written by Philippa Gregory, contains characters whose names are from the times, and whose actions are commensurate with actions taken from the times, but whose motivations are fictional story telling and highly misleading. In Gregory’s fiction, supernatural forces are effective. Characters have a depraved indifference to others and their suffering. Some are brave, some are cowardly, but they are consistently so, and there is no learning for the wise, but fools are brilliant at acting on self interest.
While Gregory has been criticised for her appalling revision of Ann Boleyn’s character, consistent with character assassination, she shows no improvement in her series exploring characters during the War of the Roses latter stages. They have the names, but they are not the people. And that is very disappointing. But the mischaracterisation is in line with modern left wing sensibilities. Strong women are feminists. Good men are foolish. Bad men are powerful. There is no diversity of culture, which we know existed.
It is like when Democrats rule in USA. A Wonderful Life, from 1946 illustrates that. We see how they plan and coerce and make it very hard for good people to simply live.

Democrats Tossing away what they have to embrace corruption
Wonderful life off cuts Democrats Tossing away what they have to embrace corruption (Dem Preselection)
Dems are exercising power using Congress and the Presidency. But they are tossing away their voter base as they try to entrench corruption like voter fraud and double down on social engineering. The Dem ownership of the black vote dates back to FDR exploiting Democrat corruption in stealing aid Hoover had meant for stricken communities in the 1920’s. However, the Democrat controlled and exploited communities of minorities are leaving Democrats and moving to Trump Republicans. Can corruption, alone maintain the Dem powerbase?

It's a Wonderful Life is a 1946 American Christmas family fantasy drama film produced and directed by Frank Capra, based on the short story and booklet The Greatest Gift, which Philip Van Doren Stern self-published in 1943 and is in turn loosely based on the 1843 Charles Dickens novella A Christmas Carol. The film stars James Stewart as George Bailey, a man who has given up his personal dreams, in order to help others in his community, and whose imminent suicide on Christmas Eve brings about the intervention of his guardian angel, Clarence Odbody (Henry Travers). Clarence shows George how he, George, has touched the lives of others and how different life would be for his wife Mary and his community of Bedford Falls if he had not been born.

Wonderful life off cuts “No Deal”
Both Libertarians and leftists offer awful deals to conservatives. In this off cut from It’s a Wonderful Life, we see the Libertarian character of Sam Wainwright chortling of having offered the ground floor of a plastics deal which George Bailey rejected so as to save his buildings and loan. In modern terms it is how conservatives have said ‘no deal’ to laws weakening borders or drug laws, which Libertarians have at times demanded. Libertarians chortle every time an illegal immigrant does well despite the costs to society, or a druggie succeeds temporarily despite their handicaps.
But consider how the Potter offer to Bailey has a ‘no deal’ in similar terms as the left wing offer their terms. No ID elections. Votes received anonymously by mail after voting day. Preventing scrutiny of voter fraud. However, providing exceptions to when a recall effort is made against the California Governor? The character of Potter is a thief who steals thousands of dollars and never faces justice over it, just like the Democrats of today. And, he offers insulting terms for success. Terms similar as what McConnell has accepted?

Important things, Its a Wonderful Life offcuts
Important Things from It’s a Wonderful Life
Every life has important things. Things we want to achieve. For me, it was the privilege of being around as two fine young people grew up. Or being needed by my daughter to help with her education needs. But also I need job satisfaction, to live within my means, to point to God using scripture. I have lots of ambition, but sometimes, I’m humbled when something really important happens. Just like George Bailey.

How does one celebrate Redemption?
Not me, mind you, I’m asking for a friend. My friend has really missed out on life. Very early in their professional career they witnessed a bungled pedophile investigation that went sideways, resulting in the negligence death of a public school boy, covered up by a coroner keen to protect a political party they were beholden to. Coroner blamed the parents and shafted a whistleblower witness. The whistleblower was fat and lost their public service job and had no recourse but move state where they were still unemployable. Nearly thirty years have passed, their life is nearing an end and they have nothing to show for it, except the depraved indifference of bureaucrats which left wing loonies are keen to imbue with more power.
However, my friend is thankful for God in his life. Sure he has no actual family who’d stand by him. His friends are terrified he is too needy and might ask for help. Big tech companies boot him about because they don’t like his politics supporting economic conservatism and MAGA Trump ideals. So he is booted off FB and Messenger for life, and cannot access decade old emails, photographs, videos or memories he made online. He cannot connect with apps which allow him to connect via FB. And FB sends him messages suggesting he join up, but they won’t accept him.
It is a Wonderful life, made by Frank Capra in 1946 and is relevant today. Because it illustrates redemption. But, what is redemption for my friend? When McConnell can diss everything my friend has stood for, and spits on him, as he claims another six more years of a snout in the trough lifestyle while a stand up guy is beaten up. How does one celebrate redemption?

This is an off-cut from the movie illustrating a premise. What if Trump had not been President?
In Defence of Conservative Values
The scene has three conservatives talking over dinner. One conservative is the father who wants his son to follow him in business. Another conservative is the son who wants to make a name for himself in the world. Another conservative is the servant whose relationship to those she serves is positive for all of them.
The three are not agreeing with each other, but there is none of the shaming, blaming and rancour one finds when arguing with a left winger. The father listens to his son, and argues on point, convincingly. The son hears his father’s arguments and lets him know he still loves him. The servant reinforces core conservative values. Note, these are not social conservative values, which judges and shames. These are values embraced by modern economic conservatives.
The conservatism is not from a lost time in America. President Donald Trump is not a conservative, neither is he known for conservatism, but his Vice President, Mike Pence is. The greatness of Trump’s Presidency was enhanced by the demeanour and prosecution of Pence as Vice President. One hopes Trump runs and wins again in 2024. Not only will Trump be the first President acquitted of an impeachment twice, he could be the first President elected three times without resorting to corruption.
