Asking AI What I Should Plant in My Tropical Garden!
I've been wanting to try this for a while now and we finally got our hands on the suggestion that AI made for our backyard garden. This is a pretty significant plant to the Hawaiian people and I am kind of surprised I didn't think of planting it myself, granted it can be a hard plant to manage depending on how you do it. Anyways, hope you enjoy this productive use of AI for your gardening fun.

A Way to Get Kids Involved in the Garden | Making Name Signs for the Plants
This was such a fun project to do with the kids in our family, plus it made the garden that much cuter. We planted a bunch of trees in the orchard that are hard to identify when they are so young. Now that we have these name signs anyone can see what the plants are and learn how to identify them better. Didn't the girls do such a good job decorating?

The Finale! Planting Trees in Our Backyard Orchard! | 04
After a lot of work we finally got the trees planted and the irrigation lines in. It was so special to have the whole family come out to put the trees in all together. I've loved this project and all the work that it entailed, but I can't wait for these trees to grow and fill out this space.

Moving 15,000 Pounds of Dirt! Orchard Series | 03
This was the last major step before we got to put trees in our orchard. Moving all this dirt was such a relief because we haven't had great soil on our property, but this dirt is going to be perfect for our plants.

Giving my bees some love!
I needed to give the bees some new frames to work off of and this was the process. After rendering this wax, I was excited to see how the bees would like the head start.

Moving Over 30,000 Pounds of Dirt, Roots, Rocks, and Mulch! | 02
This one took a bit of work, my lower back is still sore, but in the end we got it done. In todays video we use the backhoe, picks, shovels, wheelbarrows and everything else to get dirt out of our new orchard patch. Out of 30,000 pounds, me and two helpers moved about 10,000 of it ourselves. Here's the math. Our trucks can usually take 1,500 pounds and just three root balls maxed them out. So if each root ball was about 500 pounds and we had over 40 of them, then there is 20,000 pounds the truck took. As for the 35 wheel barrow loads of dirt and wood chips we moved, those each weighed about 200 pounds a piece. So the math adds up fast and the broken backs do too. Thanks for watching, the next videos involve a lot of moving dirt, but we are getting closer to planting, so that is really exciting!

Cutting Down 400 Trees to Plant an Orchard | 01
This plan has been in the works for over a year now and we finally got the funds to start the project. Today we are cutting down more than 400 Areca Palm trees that were planted in 2007 by my parents. Sadly the first step to making something beautiful is by first making it ugly, in this case at least.
We hope to see you following along with this series and commenting below with any advice you have for a successful for orchard. We want this channel to be a learning space for everyone. Thanks!
