This Sci Fi author interview with Jean Lamb, a fantasy and science fiction writer, discussed everything from using spreadsheets to track writing to writing fan fiction. She wrote Dead Man's Hand, the first book in the The Ghost Ship Series.
She writes Harry Potter fan fiction, is a member of the SFWA (Science Fiction and Fantasy Writing Association), has published eight books, is a former United States Air Force officer, and spent a half-century married to the love of her life with a cat and 10,000 books. Today's Christian YA fantasy author interview with Glen Gabel was very interesting. He is a screenwriter and author who recently published his debut YA fantasy novel, The Soothsayer. Although his work is not strictly Christian, it does have elements from the Bible and Gaelic Mythology. He graduated from the University of Southern California, worked as a production assistant under Joss Whedon at Mutant Enemy/ Fox, and later worked as a professional copyeditor. Today, we are talking about the differences between being a screenwriter and a novelist and world-building when pulling inspiration from things like the Bible and Gaelic folklore.

My author interview with dark fantasy, illustrator, and publisher Brooklyn Quintana. She is the author of the Fyneas Fog series, which follows a twelve year old prince who learns there are consequences for his actions. Though this is no Harry Potter, it is definitely meant more for adults as this dark fantasy includes many elements. In the author interview she revealed that there will be nine in the series. The first of which is Nine of Swords, and the second, Blood in the Water, which came out in July 2023. She is also the founder and chief creative officer of the publishing company Morpheus Media LLC. Today, we will discuss overcoming writing challenges, the revision process, and how her artist’s eye shaped the aesthetics.
