Lofty Tangents

This really gets out of hand at times, but it all stems from questioning why we root for the underdogs. From there it goes to whether or not underdogs are truly underdogs, and how a warped view of underdogs/power is a primary--perhaps sole--contributor to contemporary fits of madness.

Casual contemplation of opinions, why they matter, why they should matter less, and the responsibility that comes with them.

A fun Friday spent reflecting on years past, fitness (or lack thereof), and the importance of getting outside.

Perhaps the first legitimate "Lofty Tangents", as it's the first one done in the actual loft! Examining the double-blind situation we all live with, having different perspectives, and earlobes.

Talking what actual empowerment looks like, what the counterfeits are, and where we can find the real thing.

The shortest and perhaps final 'Tangent' (in this format), examining the peculiar concept that humans should do everything they can to avoid the possibility of marginally increasing risk to themselves or others.

Well, this was a rough go. Made two cuts and still went over by almost 20 minutes. Ah well. Work in progress! Questioning the notion that we have to be attached to our bodies in order to accept Jesus, exploring why we believe that, and how that aligns with God's character.

A followup to the previous video which began discussing the art of taking offense, and the need to just ignore people. My first morning attempt...which didn't quite come out as well as I'd like. But tomorrow is another day!

Exploring the fallacy of making laws and/or morality the end instead of the means, and digging into the notion that there is a big difference between aggressors and those who have been...aggressed upon.

Did not feel up to this today, but went forward anyway...'cause discipline! Almost went long again, but reigned it in (and lost my train of thought) at the end. Thanks for watching!

Upgraded from "Incoherent Rambling"...but perhaps in name only. There are many rabbit holes in this one, including whether or not one person can truly make a difference in the classic sense of the phrase, the possible complications of maintaining a perpetually-open mind, the place of a moderate on the battlefield of ideas...and much much more! No gimmick, no catch, no punchline, no point other than to discipline the gray matter and start forming and expressing coherent thoughts in a somewhat articulate manner. You're more than welcome to watch, but this is a ~30 minute train wreck of thought. Hoping to get better!
