backyard fpv fun

Went out and braved the cold to get some video of the snow that hit Norfork, Arkansas. We may not see this again for a few years so I thought it was worth the cold fingers to fly a pak.

A little rippin fun in the snow, then going high for a scenic aerial view of the beautiful White River Valley in Norfork, Arkansas, covered in snow. This is at the point where Push Mountain Road leads into the forest. The bridge is the Sheid Bridge crossing the White River.

I put together a few crashes from my videos. This is how NOT to fly fpv. Build, fly, crash, repeat. I've learned this very well in the 2 years I've been in this exciting hobby.

I just got some 5s lipo's to fly with my JB 2407 2500kv motors. These motors really scream with a 5s battery.

Night flying is a lot of fun with my Caddx Ratel fpv cam. Too bad the action cam isn't more light sensitive and did a better job of low light recording. I'm using the runcam 5 action cam that replaced the old gopro hero session, tiny square camera.

It was a good day at the track in norfork, Arkansas There was a good crowd for this race and the weather was great.

I spent a day at River Ridge dirt track in Norfork, Arkansas, following a few riders around the track. It was a blast dodging trees, power lines, and the other fpv pilot's kwad. Hope this spring we can do it again.

Having a little fun with some friends at Clysta Willet park in beautiful Mt. Home, Arkansas. Stevie decided to break out his fixed wing and let us chase him around. There were two of us chasing him. You can see the other kwad from time to time.

This was my favorite spot when I was learning to fly. A lot of space and a few obstacles. I soon started looking for more interesting places to fly.

Just checked out the ballparks at Clysta Willet park in Mt. Home, Arkansas. There's a few more obstacles here to play around and my skills are improving. It was a fun day.

The soccer complex was a great place to learn to fly fpv. Plenty of room and a few obstacles.

This is an edit of some video I took last year (2019). I'd been flyin about a year at this time. We just got decent internet so I've never been able to upload anything in the past.

When I first got into fpv I thought the split cameras were a great idea...until I bought one. I went through about 3 of these and decided they were useless. They work for a while, then they just die. The runcam split was the same thing. I went through a few of them too.

A beautiful view of the White River Valley at Norfork, Arkansas, in the Ozark Mountains.
