This video is filmed from the Penny-Farthing racer's POV of this epic Penny-Farthing race. Racers speed through the streets of the quiet, beautiful Cheshire hamlet Knutsford which like Brigadoon comes alive only once every 10 years with Penny-Farthing racing until another decade passes. The 3 hour course isn't merely a test of endurance but is also technically challenging with a sharp, twisting downhill ending in a 90 degree turn racers negotiate at speed. Terrence Houlahan stitched the video from his helmet and rear-facing cameras to take the viewer with him during the race. This video features a racers PoV camera view of the race, as well as videos at the end of each of the racers finishes filmed with an iPhone. Finally it has pics of the top three racers, of which this year there was a new number 1: Charlie Burell pulled off a stunning win against Roger Davies, one of the best Penny-Farthing racers in the world.

(NOTE: Race starts @ 2:09 in video after racer intros) This clip uses video from both my helmet & rear-facing camera to give the viewer a racers POV from on the course. "Sweden 3 Days" is the only Stage Race for Penny-Farthing racing, held annually in Lund Sweden. Over the 3 days, racers compete on different courses of varying length & technical difficulty which test speed, strength & endurance to assess the best overall rider; you can't be just fast or strong to win! There were 51 cyclists this year from around the world competing; I managed just a 19th place overall. This video is of the 2nd heat of 4 qualifiers for the final which was later held in Stadsparken in Lund on the same day.
