Here are a few upgrades to equip us for this next emerging age. Whether we believe it or not, the next age is already emerging!!! If you are hungry... if you are going to be one of the 'players'... and if you can't stand to walk around that last mountain one more time... then you'll probably like this. We talk about 1) marinating in fresh revelation... 2) writing new songs to 'seed' the body of Christ... 3) reorienting ourselves out of the earth and into Heaven... 4) learning to think and speak from Heaven... 5) upgrading our prayer position and vocabulary from a mere earthling beggar to a Heavenly oriented oracle of God. Then we initiated an activation to get introduced to our personal angel. Jesus said, we must become like little children or we can't even get into the kingdom of Heaven. So we explored another part of the vast expanse of our Heavenly inheritance, one area of which involves angels. God's ways are so fun. “Let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ” and move on. What does that mean? And how is it relevant to me? Of course, this phrase comes from Hebrews 6. Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith in God, instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.… (Heb 6:1-2) Now, did you notice what some of those “elementary teachings” were!? We might call some of those, the ‘biggies’; laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, etc. But the book of Hebrews calls them elementary. Hmmm. I think we’re going to have to get serious about coming into our full inheritance and stop dabbling around the edges of our relationship and walk with God. We’ve ‘tiptoed through the tulips’ long enough. Obviously, the elementary teachings are mandatory and foundational... they are a prerequisite for the greater things. We’ll never devalue the elementary things or not need them. And even more elementary is the matter of character. For sure, we must ‘lock-in’ the basics of character (self-control, personal disciplines, etc.) because these are the natural ‘vehicle’ that carries the “treasure” (II Cor 4:7). This is paramount! But somewhere we must leave these ‘elementary things’ and press on into the rich inheritance that God has made available to us. So, how’s your ‘bandwidth’? Do you have enough free space in your mind and life to be able to “go on to maturity”? Can you believe for more? Or have you maxed out your growth capacity? We’re being invited to come on up higher and higher until our default thinking and experience is more governed by the realities of Heaven than the ‘laws’ of earth! Let’s go for it! Happy ascending! Jesus said in Jn 17:24​, "That they would be "WHERE I AM", so "that they may behold My glory which You have given Me." Do you feel the draw? Doesn't that make you want to spend more time 'where He is'? Sounds like that is the way that we're to 'behold His glory'. Being where He is... experiencing our bi-locational realities is not as hard as one may think. Jesus made it simple... if we can only become like a little child. He said in John 10:9, "I am the Door..." What if we take Jesus' words at face value and like a little child, just believe Him? And just like any door, it swings both ways. It allows for passage in and out. Jesus said that we are to expect to use it both ways... "to come in and go out and find pasture."
