Here I present the highlights of the first day of the testimony of Joseph Noble, the only source for Joseph Smith’s alleged marriage to Louisa Beeman. Some people claim that Joseph having no children by any alleged plural wife doesn’t matter. They say we shouldn’t expect Joseph to have had children by plural wives, because admitted polygamists in Nauvoo didn’t have children either. Oh really? Let’s look at the evidence. The pro-polygamous LDS interpretation of Jacob 2:30 is textually and contextually ludicrous. There are lots of alternate interpretations, like that of the bloggers here (https://oneclimbs.com/2017/01/05/a-proposed-reinterpretation-of-jacob-230/) and here (https://bookofmormonism.com/2022/01/31/jacob-230-raising-up-seed-and-the-polygamy-question/).
