Judge Robert Bork talked about his new book, Slouching Towards Gomorrah: Modern Liberalism and American Decline, published by Reganbooks. He described what voters are looking for in the coming election and why he believes liberal ideology is ruining U.S. society.

Roger Kimball talked about the book he co-edited with Hilton Kramer, Counterpoints: 25 Years of “The New Criterion” on Culture and the Arts, published by Ivan R. Dee. Twenty-five years after the founding of the New Criterion magazine, the editors of the conservative journal of literary, artistic and cultural criticism published a collection of writings from the magazine. Mr. Kimball also moderated a panel discussion with four of the book’s contributors. After the discussion the panelists responded to audience members' questions. Robert Bork was nominated to the Supreme Court by Ronald Reagan in 1987, but the Senate rejected his nomination. Anthony Daniels is a psychiatrist specializing in addiction who formerly practiced medicine in a British prison. Eric Ormsby is a poet and literary columnist for the New York Sun. Judge Bork talked about his life experiences and his career in law. Topics included working in the U.S. Solicitor General’s office, the U.S. economy, his nomination to be an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court and not being confirmed, and the conservative impact the University of Chicago had on his thinking. He talked about his nomination being part of a “war for control of the Constitution.”

On March 5, 1988, Hon. Robert H. Bork spoke to the Federalist Society's National Student Symposium at the University of Virginia. Judge Bork discussed the campaign against his recently failed Supreme Court nomination and its implications for future judicial nominations, constitutional law, politics, and culture.

On January 19-20, 1990, The Federalist Society hosted a conference at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC. The topic of the conference was "The Presidency & Congress: Constitutionally Separated and Shared Powers." The conference concluded with an address by Judge Robert Bork.

Former Judge Robert Bork talked about how he got the job as President Nixon’s solicitor general, how Nixon lectured him at Camp David about the role of a judge, the issue of executive privilege, the Saturday Night Massacre, and his reaction to the discovery of the so-called "Smoking Gun'' tape. This is a portion of the interview conducted by Timothy Naftali on December 1, 2008, for the Richard Nixon Presidential Library at Robert Bork’s home in McLean, Virginia.

There are often said to be two competing schools for interpreting the meaning of the Constitution. On one side are those who believe that the meaning of the Constitution must evolve over time as society itself changes. On the other side are those who insist that the original intent of the framers of the Constitutionâ what they wrote and what their intent was in writing itâ is all that matters. Robert Bork is firmly in the latter school. We asked him to explicate his understanding of the U.S. Constitution, using recent Supreme Court decisions as case studies.

As part of their 25th Anniversary celebration the Federalist Society presented a full-day Conference honoring Judge Robert H. Bork and his contributions to the law. This tribute video was presented at the conference luncheon on June 26, 2007.

Participants talked about growth of the politics of personal destruction and the role it plays in American culture. Among the issues they addressed were how the media presents news and entertainment, President Clinton’s reaction to the impeachment process, and privacy issues. After their comments they answered questions from the audience.
