PHP 0081 Paul the Accountant - Philippians 3:1-11
Counting - a skill we all need. Sometimes we to take inventory. What has value? What is trash.
The apostle Paul counted up the important things in his life up until the time when he knew the Lord Jesus. What things he had imagined were valuable to him, he now realized were of no more value than the sludge at the bottom of the septic tank.
What counted, what really mattered, was knowing Christ. Knowing the immense power of the resurrection, joining into the sufferings all believers are called to, and dying to himself.

PHP 0042 Battlefield Christianity Part 2
Continuing with "The Christian life is a battle." We contend for the faith once delivered to the saints. We struggle against sin, and we resist the evil one.
There is joy in the battle. Jesus set his face like a flint toward Jerusalem and the cross, for the joy that was set before Him.

Philippians - Joy in the Christian Life - Introduction
The Book of Philippians is unique in the New Testament. It was written about 62 AD by the missionary apostle Paul. He wrote the letter to a church that supported him in service, in prayer, and with its money.
Chained now to a Roman soldier twenty-four hours a day, what's he got to teach us about Joy in the Christian life?

The Day of the Lord and Armageddon
We come to the conclusion of our series, "God's Prophetic Calendar." In this lesson, we look at the Day of the LORD. This "day" is extremely prominent in Old Testament prophecy, and figures heavily in New Testament end-time prophecy. That to say, it's absolutely critical to understand.
It is widely misunderstood in my estimation. I hope this lesson clears some of that confusion up. The Day of the Lord is all about the Wrath of God.
The conclusion of that wrath involves what many term, "The Battle of Armageddon."

The Great Tribulation and the Gathering of the Elect
The Great Tribulation will be driven primarily by religious fervor in support of the super-human, god-like antichrist. It will be characterized by unbridled deceit and betrayal. Families will turn on themselves unto the death, with fathers betraying sons, daughters their mothers, and worse.
It will be so bad that unless it were cut off, all living people would die. That's Satan's purpose, of course.
When it is cut off ("after the tribulation of those days"), the Lord Jesus will send his mighty angels to the earth to rescue those who believe in, and serve Him. They are the elect.

Prophetic Calendar - 0051 The Abomination of Desolation
Everyone has heard the term "Abomination of Desolation," but what does it mean? And, what is the strategy of the antichrist to deceive the whole world?
The key to understanding both questions is in the fact that he purports to be the messiah himself, supplanting the Lord Jesus Christ.

A Walkthrough of Daniel's Seventieth Week
The Bible reveals truths we would not know, if there were no Bible.
It prophesies of Jesus Christ, the One Who would give his own life for sinners. And of course, it tells us of Jesus' life, and ultimate death on the cross.
It is a book of unfailingly accurate and precise prophecy.
It speaks of a time yet to come, known as "Daniel's Seventieth Week." Those seven unique years are the subject of this short video. I want to provide you a high-level walk-through of that amazing period of time.
I think it will encourage you, inform you, and for some, it may shock you.

A Walkthrough of The Olivet Discourse
I begin by saying, I'm a Bible-believer with a premillennial view of the end times. I love and respect God's Word.
Over the years I've seen Christians struggle with understanding Matthew, Chapter 24. The Olivet Discourse. It is the foundation for our understanding end time events. Why has it been so difficult for so many?
I firmly believe it's because we bring so much baggage with us when we read it. It is long past time that we simply allow the Lord Jesus to speak to us. Listen to His words. Let your understanding come from taking His words in their natural, normal meaning.
In this short video, I'll walk you through the entirety of Matthew 24. We'll do this in less than thirty minutes. May God increase your understanding of His Word, and bless you for believing.

Prophetic Calendar - Antichrist's Wars
Antichrist will spend almost the entire first half of the Seven Years (Daniel's Seventieth Week) warring against the ten kingdoms, and three in particular.
These wars are all detailed in the Word of God.
They culminate in his (apparent) triumph in the Jerusalem temple, where he will present himself as very God. But not yet! First, he has to fight his wars, and bring the world under his influence and authority.

The Prophetic Calendar - Death of Antichrist
Revelation 13 and other places in God's Word make it plain that the antichrist will suffer a mortal wound by a sword. Subsequently he will appear to rise from the dead. The questions many ask are
"Does he really die, or just look like he died?"
"Is he really raised from the dead?"
"Can Satan give life?"
All these are good, reasonable questions. What does the Bible say?
No matter which answer you decide on (from your study of the Scriptures), the important thing to know is this: No matter what happened, THE WORLD BELIEVES HE DIED AND WAS RAISED AGAIN. And so he continues to fulfill his role as a false Christ.

The Covenant and the Sacrifices
Episode 2 and 3 combined of God's Prophetic Calendar.
The inaugural event of Daniel's Seventieth Week will be the confirmation of the covenant by the antichrist "with many." Does this mean, as we have been told for years and years, that he will sign a peace treaty with Israel? Maybe, but I don't think so. More likely, it's something entirely different.
And how important is it to Jewish people today that they should build a third temple? Answer: Absolutely critical.

Daniel the Prophet - Chapter 12, Part 4
The end of our Daniel study!
What happens during those last 75 days, after the Seven Years of Daniel's Seventieth week?
And along with that, consider God's tender care for his old prophet in verse 13. Daniel may not have understood all he was given, and was probably too old to return to Jerusalem. But God, in his love and care, promises him that at the "end of the days," Daniel will be there to see it all take place.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! We look forward to the time when "The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever." Maranatha!

Daniel the Prophet - Chapter 12, Part 1
Antichrist fights on two fronts, but goes to Jerusalem in order to take his place as false messiah.
Hints of the rapture in verse 2? If so, the resurrection is taking place in the context of the Time of Jacob's Trouble (Great Tribulation). Troubling for pre-trib Bible students, but is no surprise to the pre-wrath Bible scholar.

Daniel the Prophet, Chapter 11, Part 1
The critics of God's Word hate this chapter!
Hundreds of years in advance of the actual occurrences (now history to us in the 21st century), Daniel reports the message given him by the angel Gabriel. Gabriel outlines the empires that will engage with Israel and Judah during the four hundred years between the Old and New Testaments.
Particular interest is shown in the wars between the "King of the South" and the "King of the North." These are the Ptolemaic Greek empire of Egypt, and the Seleucid Greek Empire of Syria.
But it doesn't stop there. By the time we reach verse 36, Gabriel reveals much of what we know about "The Beast," also referred to in the New Testament as Antichrist.
So be amazed as Daniel reveals future history. Some already fulfilled for us, and much to come.
All in Daniel, Chapter 11.

Daniel the Prophet - Chapter 10 Part 1
Daniel is shaken by the appearance of an angel. He's now over eighty years old, and although his prayers for Israel have largely been answered, he is in mourning. Why? And what is it about encountering holiness that so humbles us?

Daniel the Prophet - Chapter 9 Part 5
The last verse (27) of Daniel, Chapter 9. Who will confirm the covenant? And is it really going to be a "peace treaty?" Or is that just an outdated trope that we've said so many times, we think it's God's Word?
When Antichrist desolates the temple, a critical prophetic juncture is established. Immediately following this event, the Great Tribulation will ensue, the Fourth Seal of Revelation will be undone, and death will begin to reign over the world. Only the worshippers of the Beast will, for a short time, enjoy the prosperity they've been promised.
"And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."
