Using Animal Feed to Make Whole Wheat Bread
On this episode of the BreakAway Homestead, we discuss the availability of an inexpensive food source that we "as humans" could consume if push came to shove. We will be taking animal feed right out from my back yard and will be turning it into a palatable 100% Whole Wheat Bread.

Take your shoes off, put your feet up and let them breathe. Watch this great throwback on hygiene. The information is as relevant today as it was over half a century ago. This would be a great video to show the people you are concerned about the most. Also a great intro to sanitation for your teenagers!

Biohazzard Negative Pressure Tent for Emergency Medical Use
COVID 19 was a great practice run to what may come in the future - many lessons were learned during this pandemic. My primary concern is for those stuck in city/metropolitan/urban housing spreading disease to others in the same location because of cramped quarters. As a Husband and a Parent, I strive to protect the rest of my family, even if I have to Isolate them for the safety of those not showing symptoms.
This video is guide to make your own isolation unit to protect others. The total cost, will run between $65 and $100.
Materials:
Scout Tent: https://amzn.to/2O7XB6c - Two person tent with small vent in the back.
4 Inch Inline Duct fan: https://amzn.to/2uJAIPW - must move 105 cubic feet per minute to be effective. There are cheaper fans out there, but they will be loud.
4 Inch inline ducting: https://amzn.to/36z9tEI - Collapsible inline ducting that includes two straps to fasten the ducting to the fan/dryer duct.
Zip ties
7 - 1/2 inch diameter, 5 foot sections of CPVC pipe - find this at your local hardware store.
4 - 1/2 inch diameter, CPVC T Fittings
4 - 1/2 inch diameter, CPVC 90 Degree Angle Fittings
2 - 1/2 inch diameter, CPVC Coupling Fittings
Cut the first two lengths of pipe into 4 pieces of 27 1/2 inches (with hacksaw or pipe cutter). Note - two small pieces will be left over.
Cut the next four lengths of pipe to 39 inches - 4 left over pieces will be used as upright supports.
Keep last 5 foot pipe for arch.
