Balancing everything can be difficult. I get it. Here are just some of the techniques and mindsets I have adopted that have allowed me to get through 5 years of medical school while balancing work, gym and content creation on the side.

Adapting to Change - Who Moved My Cheese by Dr Spencer
Summary of Who Moved My Cheese? - Dr Spencer Johnson
How should we adapt to change in a world that is changing so rapidly?
In Dr Spencer's book Who Moved My Cheese, 4 characters are used to show how different people adapt to change. Cheese is used in this book as a metaphor for whatever we want in life. It may mean a meaningful relationship, money, or health. Sniff and scurry are mice while Hem and Haw are two little people. All four characters search for cheese in a maze (representing our environment) before finding what they want at Cheese Station C. Once their cheese at Cheese Station C disappeared, observe how each of the characters react. Which one are you? Which one would you like to be?

Overcome Fear Using Mel Robbins' 5 Second Rule
We all have our fears - whatever they may be. Whether it's the fear of failure, flying or feeling behind in life, we can try to implement techniques to minimise its effects.
Mel Robbins is an American television host, author, and motivational speaker. She teaches something she calls the 5 Second Rule. Whenever you fear something, count down from five. Then think of what she calls an anchor thought.
Ali Abdaal is a doctor and a YouTuber. He recommends that we reframe stress as fear then fear as excitement.
As both fear and excitement have similar physiological effects, changing the story we tell ourselves may assist us whenever we fear something.

The FREE Alternative to Forest - Flora App Review | Focus App for IOS
Staying focused can be tricky - especially during times like this. Having an app that increases the friction for you to stop working is beneficial.
When I was using Android, Forest was my app of choice. However, Flora is a free alternative for ios devices. Like Forest, you can grow virtual trees that die when you use your phone. I've been using this app for a while now and can recommend it!

How I Managed My Time as a Biomed Student at The University of Auckland
How I Manage My Time as a Biomed Student | Eisenhower Matrix & Pomodoro Technique
Biomedical science (Biomed) at the University of Auckland is not easy. Having systems in place replaces the need for motivation. Using the Eisenhower Matrix and the Pomodoro Technique, I have created a productivity system for myself that helped me through my first year of university. To help me avoid getting distracted, I use an app called Forest which is free on the Google Play store. Big thanks to big man Jahin for filming some of the scenes 💪

How I Learned to Type Faster (Touch Typing)
I'm no typing expert but I will attempt to demonstrate how I learned to type faster. This video will show you how to increase your typing speed. The average person types about 40wpm but with practice, you can learn to double it.
Resources to increase your speed:
