Recently, the US House of Representatives passed a bill that could see TikTok banned in America. If the bill passes in the Senate and is signed into law by Joe Biden, it would force the social media's parent company to sell its controlling stake or be blocked in the US. There are many people championing this potential ban, claiming that the reason for it is that TikTok poses a risk to the data of US users or that it should be banned because it is corrupting the minds of children. Both of those things are true: TikTok does put user data at risk, and there is no doubt that TikTok is a platform destined to influence the minds of young people with destructive ideas. But regardless, TikTok should not be banned—not because it is good, but because it is the lesser of two evils. Banning TikTok has nothing to do with protecting user data or safeguarding children's minds; this bill is only about control. Who will control TikTok? Social media shapes and controls the opinions of society; those who control social media control the narrative. In this video, we explore the question of why modern films suck and the rise of woke realism in Hollywood. Hollywood has gone woke, and this ideology has destroyed entertainment. To understand this, we must look at the environment in which great movies are produced. Great movies are produced when ideas are free, opinions are unconstrained, and storytellers are left to tell stories from various perspectives. However, woke ideology has redefined the idea of diversity. Diversity is now measured on arbitrary race and gender representation, resulting in every film conforming to the same ideological perspective. This ideological conformity is used as a propaganda tool, just like socialist realism in the Soviet Union. Socialist realism aimed to promote socialist ideas and values and demonize everything else. Similarly, woke realism aims to reflect and promote the ideals of a woke society, exalting woke ideology as the perfect system and demonizing anything else. Woke realism exists only to engineer the souls of society, not to entertain. Modern films suck because they are not designed to entertain but to indoctrinate.
