What is TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission)?
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission(TNPSC) is an independent constitutional body. The Governor of Tamilnadu appoints the Members of this Commission and they can be removed only by the President of India. Per the Constitution of India, it is kept from political and executive influences. Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission recruits almost all State Government servants. Political parties, Ministers, and Senior Government officials do not have any power to control either the Commission or its Members and even the commission’s staff. So the general false belief in the minds of youngsters that the ruling party or the Ministers can influence the Commission is wrong. The selection process of this commission is transparent.
