Chickens don't produce enximes that break down proteines, garlic and honey provides those. They also helt fighting bacterias and infections so it's very good for chicken. Use raw honey, since pasteurizing it removes a lot of it's properties.

Using stale piss will contain amonia. With this method, you get a clear product without all of the imporities. Amonia is a powerful cleaning, whitening and degreasing agent. never mix it with bleach or other detergents and use in a well ventilated area. In the medieval period they would use stale urine directly.

In this video, it rained on it so it made hydrated lime. If this doesn't happen, it'll do quicklime, the rocks can be crunched into powder. Make sure you wear protective gear, this is rather caustic.

Works best with hard wood ashes, the whiter the ash is, the better. Like she said, you can strain it first, timically people use a bucket with rocks in the bottom, a good layer of hay, they put the ashes on top then add hot water and let it filter-drip for a few days.

Also choose your tree variety if possible since they each have a different rot ressitence. Cedar is a good choice but it's a softer wood so take that in consideration as well if it's a structural beam.

To make split peas, shell them, blanch them (immediately followed by a cold bath), sundry them and lightly grind them, it won't be perfect halfs but good enough for chickens.

If you don't have a rubber tree or access to rubber, you can make an eraser by taking bread crumbs and bunching them in a tight ball. It's not as good as a rubber eraser but it does kind of work.
