Forest Escape Installing the Communication Tower, CBs and Ham Radios
Communication is important and we rely on the internet and cell phones, but what happens when those fail? We can still communicate in the forest escape! We use ham amateur radios and CB base station and mobile radios to have communication with people in our areas and around the world. Watch the antenna tower be installed, with a winch to raise and lower it. Old school CBs are making a comeback because everyone knows that the cell phones and internet can be unreliable. Learn about where to study and get information for your ham radio operator license, as well. See the radio frequencies for CB and ham communication. Walkie-talkies are also useful. Of course, the weather radio is good for in an emergency, too. Learn about an old-school pasttime that is making a comeback!
