Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize and Hydrate / Shorts/ Elevation TV PH / Joyce Cervera Mallari/12-30-2021
Let's make skin care just a common sense. Artists and entrepreneurs need to take care of themselves as well.

Multi-Tasking, No Good/ Reflection series / Elevation TV Shorts / Joyce Cervera Mallari / 12-07-2021
Music by Coodysan - Emerald Garden - https://thmatc.co/?l=1679DBF9
This video was actually an outtake from a practice demo video of myself painting while teaching painting techniques to an audience. I am an art teacher ( for kids and adults in a workshop type) and a former Fine Arts College lecturer ( well thank God, my subjects were on Principles of Design II and Materials II) but it always has been a struggle for me to multi-task ex. speaking while drawing or painting or creating a mix media or fashion jewelry making. I get to perform well if I would do one task after the other. So I'm all hands up to vloggers or art teachers who could do two tasks or three all at the same time. Therefore, the practical wisdom that I thought of if ever I'd teach online is to pre-record everything and use VO ( voice over ).
*** ON THE TOPIC OF MUTI -TASKING: Well some Scientific studies show that multi=tasking actually lowers a person's IQ. So that explains it. My professor in Psychology before I shifted to Fine Arts once said that male who by nature has compartmentalized brain is single task focused therefore they excel more in performance compared to a woman who can do multi-tasking. Although men are the ones whose IQ lowers more in task performance when given a multitasking activity compared to women. However as a whole men would always excel more in task performances compared to women. Yet a study also shows that men and women are equally affected and both get lowered performance in the context of multi-tasking.

In The Name of Art / Artist Parody Series / Elevation TV PH / Joyce Cervera Mallari
“In The Name of Art”. Witness a very contrive art making parody in the world where artists are at a point of overthinking, hyper-pseudo-intellectualism, and copy-cat mode that most often will lead them to perform some antics to be noticed; end up producing contrive work. This is the best example of a “starving artist” figuratively speaking. #elevationtv #elevationtvp #artistonyoutube #art #painting #videocontent #artist #youtuber #contentcreator #studiowork #artistatwork #artstudio #contemporaryart #contemporaryartist

" Displacement " / Haiku In My Studio / Elevation TV PH / episode 2
The series " Haiku In My Studio " is a juxtaposition of video montage, photos, sound and text. The second episode " Displacement" is one of the recurring themes in my artist statement on cultural identity represented in this painting through the material culture Manton de Manila with the backdrop of the sea. The term Manton de Manila or shawl of Manila is a misnomer. In fact, the said material is no longer being exported in the Philippines. Originally it was manufactured in China ( still is ) , and traded in the Southern part of China to Spanish merchants through the galleon ship trade during the 1700's or earlier. The port of Manila was just an exchange hub or channel for the traders going to Mexico and from there it ( shawl ) was transported to be sold in Spain specifically in Andalucía and Sevilla among other key cities in Europe. In short, the Filipino traders participated in the export as distributors. The shawl is known for its Orientalism motif and theme. It is made of silk and embroidered with flowers, insects, and originally images of Chinese everyday genre were incorporated. Until now the said artisan cloth is still considered a fashion statement and a utility among Europeans for their home décor. Famous flamenco dancers are known to utilize it in their grandeur performances. The theme displacement is represented in this video both as a material culture and an experience that is a mixture of confusion, ambiguity, transitional, growth, and celebratory. Similar to human experiences in which the individuals: heart, mind and body, their locale, and the material culture they interact may contribute to their cultural identity vice versa and through these they may embody memories threaded in their system. These experiences and memories may or may not continue to contribute in their progress as transportation and relocation happen. This is why water or the sea is a major imagery in this video. The sea or body of water has no beginning or end and it just continuously flow however in terms of geography it is being segmented in zones or territories. Well as a backdrop, the South China sea, East Asian seas and the Pacific sea were the mode of transport for the galleon traders. I will link in below some resource for reading if you want to know more about Manton de Manila. Better yet please check the episode "ART EXHIBIT" a feature video of my art exhibit and my colleagues' group exhibit.
The painting " When Camellia Blooms " featured in this video was part of a series that I exhibited in my solo show at the Espacio Manila contemporary art gallery on October 18, 2019.
*** I love haiku since my high school years. I like it's briefness and unnatural rhyming. It best matches my artworks and my approach in making some video. Although admittedly, I'm such an amateur in videography. So please bear with me as I continue to learn.

" Colored Water Sea" / Haiku In My Studio / ep1 / Elevation TV PH
" Colored Water Sea"
Waves undulating.
Seafoam sprang and it burst.
Colored water sea.
HAIKU IN MY STUDIO is a series of mixed media, mainly videos, painting and haiku poetry. It includes short documentation of the process of my art studio production. The art works that were featured and will be featured in this video series were part of the " That Time The Wind Blows" solo exhibit that was held on October 18, 2019.
I personally edited this episode via CANVA by using the free templates and elements. It's something that I'm still trying to learn. So please bear with my amateurish approach in editing. The raw videos were produced by fellow artist Van Esperanza.
